Did anyone play the Mirrors edge beta?

From my understanding theres no NDA, so what did you think?

Took a while to get used to the controls etc. again but quite liked what I've played

 

I know what you mean, i thought there wasn't enough buttons while free running it was pretty much spam the left bumper which I thought was an odd choice of button considering how much you use it, although I liked the combat and most of the movement, although
the slide fest a little slow and changing things was a little odd, like going from one pipe to another pipe to a wall.

The cut scene graphics were amazing, but the free running was just above average but certainly good enough.

I thought is was good but not outstanding, i didn't think it was a good as prince of persia, but a bit faster paced.

i have never played a mirrors edge game before.

 

I kinda wish they kept it linear like the last game, it was good but it actually makes me think I don't need to buy it on day one.

 

i didn't play the beta, but really enjoyed the first one, and so happy that they removed the guns, that was the only thing i didn't like about the first one. looking forward to playing it when it releases.

 

it was ok not a day one for me im a lil dissapointed at how bad the game can look when you actually stop and look around but it is a beta so hopefully theres more polish in the full game

 

I loved the first game but I haven't played the beta, but the gameplay I did see made me decide to wait awhile to get it. It looked uninspiring to be honest.

 

They have improved it in bits here & there but I don't know.I enjoyed the beta because I enjoyed the first game but is it a day one buy?

Not really,i think the price will drop quite quickly so i'll wait a bit before I buy it.

 

I actually enjoyed it a lot. This Beta actually convinced me to stick with buying it day one. I found the gameplay to be very fun and addictive especially once I started to try and beat the timed runs and explore trying to find the quickest route. I will
agree that some textures and faces look a bit meh when you actually stop to look closely but those things really good have been lowered to make the Beta download smaller, but not really anything that detracted from the fun I had with the gameplay.

 

not played the beta, played the first game and thought it was decent but not something i would be in a hurry to invest in this time around

 

I thought the game played pretty well. Did not look great on the One to me but I had already played the PC version so that may be why. Gameplay wise it seems like it would be a lot of fun so I might pick it up. Not sure yet.

 

Not me, but I might get the game when it releases.
