I know exactly what you mean OP, the bumpers are just plain awkward. The housing is sharp around the triggers but that hasn't affected me much but I can see how it would bother some. This is the kind of criticism MS needs in order to build a better controller.
All these "the X1 controller is perfect" comments are useless.
I find them usefull. just like DRM which i really liked, got killed off by groups of unifnormed people on the internet killing it off, i'd hate to see them redesign the controller and make it worse, when its alreayd perfect, so again saying its perfect is
just as important as saying its not Did anyone at Microsoft actually test the controller with human subjects? ;)
If people were uninformed that is MS's fault...we STILL don't know what the Family Share was. I'm pretty sure I know but others are still confused. Whatever the DRM plan was I don't think people not being about to sell used games any way they choose
was ever going fly. Maybe after reasonable pricing for digital content is well established it'll gain some traction.
well i do agree that MS is terrible at explaining what their products can do for the masses, but even with that said, you can't fix stupid and no amount of explaining would have gotten through to a majority of thick headed individuals
I don't think any amount of explaining was ever gonna convince people it's good to not be able to sell your property any way you choose. At least not while digital content remains the same price as disk based content.
not necessarily. If they did it, they could have had awesome sales. also the DRM allowed people with discs to swicth games w/o getting up to remove discs. now they can't

I actually think the new controller is a lot smoother around the L and R triggers. I used to have issues with the 360 controller with the way I held it if I gamed long enough in one session. The new controller=no issues for me. I held up both the 360 and
One controllers side by side and the One is more rounded and does not have an edge to it like the 360 had.
They need to have the sales first but when you see really old games for full retail on the marketplace it's kinda hard to believe...can't blame people for that. Oh, God forbid you have to get your lazy butt up and switch a disc. LMAO

All feed back is good. When the good Buries the bad though is when a line needs to be drawn.

Just because 9 people like something the way it is does not mean the 10th person needs to change the way they do things and conform.

Personally I thinks it's pretty stupid to create a design where you are meant to push the triggers with your middle fingers. For one they are not as agile and two they are less sensitive fingers.

I use my index finger for bumpers and triggers!

6. Overall, the only real issue I have with the design elements is with the d-pad. When playing fighting games like Killer Instinct that require quarter-circle back, for example, it's incredibly hard to do those kinds of moves with the traditional d-pad that
was brought back for the Xbox One. Sure, I suppose I could use the joystick, but it's not as fast or as intuitive as an actual arcade joystick (lord knows I'm not willing to shell out big $$$ for 1 of those). I loved the rotating d-pad they had for the special
edition controllers on the Xbox 360 - I wish we had more of those or something similar.

I haven't played Forza 5 more than a hour at a time, but I never had any complaints with the controller. Maybe you and the O.P. got slightly "off" controllers...or maybe I just don't play enough. Lol.

Im a very heavy handed gamer, so xbox controllers never last me long, but I totally get what you mean OP,sz I cant provide the link but 1000s and 1000s of xbox one controllers were just machine tested.

But its the QC that has let so many end up in our hands, there are sharpish edges on the day one and the retail shop bought one...but on the positve the one I got 2 weeeks ago,the 3rd one from game has no sharp edges and works so much better.

-

Even so all of them should be as the 3rd,I spend alot of time gaming,as much as I like the many new features on the xbox controller, ive been using other brand pro controlllers that have had this for ages, and the xbox one controller isnt designed for an 8
hour a day gamer.

I've noticed mine is already starting to come apart slightly just below the triggers, and I take very good care of my things, I love the shape and feel but it's terrible quality. I can see what you would mean by sharp edges as I think in no time at all I'll
be experiencing that too with the plastic at the join not being even

Positivity is fine but you need to say why...some of these comments make it seem like people are more interested in stamping out criticism than providing feedback.
Last time I checked this is a forum and I just expressed my opinion, I don't need to explain why I think the controller is good but I would think by saying it's 'perfect' it doesn't really need explaining, What else can I say how much I like the
controller?. If there was something I didn't like about it I would say so, but there isn't anything.

I see no one trying to stamp out any criticism just because they say they like it and you disagree. If you want to send MS feedback then I suggest actually getting in touch with them.

I don't think its stamping out critism, i think its lack of knowledge sometimes. Espcially since with teh 360 for isntance most people got in the habit of moving their finger off the trigger to hit the bumper, now they try and it doesn't work great so they
think teh controller has an issue, but after explaiing the amazing design whee you can press it w/o taking your finger off teh trigger, people like ti much more. It would be liek somebody not knwing it has triggers so theyc omplain about the lack of triggers
and your like nah man, triggers are right there and there like ok cool

Really? In terms of feedback how does "the controller is perfect" or "it's fine for me" help at all?
What good is only negative criticism? If they only hear from all the people who don't like it or have a problem with it then they'd think it's the worse controller ever. If I can't find a fault with it, I have every right as you or anyone who have
a problem with it to have my say.

I don't have a problem with the people who are criticizing the controller, it's just their opinion, so why can't I say mine if it's positive?
