Diablo III Ultimate Evil edition, Player data missing.

After a little over an hour with support, they felt it would be best to post the information here as a warning of what may occur for others as well.

With what seems like no provocation, 3 out of my 4 plays have just come up missing supposedly after an update to the game or Xbox One itself (not sure at this time of any specifics). We tried resetting my account data, as well as clearing all persistent Xbox
One data to no avail. Hoping this gets resolved soon.

That's for Dead Rising 3, rather than Diablo III Ultimate Evil Edition. Just as an FYI.

 

The game itself recently received a patch to fix server issues. Have you tried checking the Blizzard forums to see if this is a known issue? Generally when you're dealing with a case like this where content goes missing after an update, it's an issue on
the developer's end. That said, I'd head over to their website and check around to see if it's an issue they're aware of.

 

I've not found anyone else having a similiar problem specific to Diablo unfortunately, and according to Blizzard's help they won't offer assistance in an issue related to the console, they simply direct you to microsoft. I've tried deleting and re-syncing
with the server as well and am not getting my characters back, but the account with all of them has much more data than the accounts that only have one player each, so they're clearly still there, just not pulling in for some reason.

 

Anyone? Tech support said I would hear back in 48 hours regarding the ticket, nothing yet from them or here where I was told they would most likely respond. Any chance of actual support with issues on this console or shall I just pack it up now? Cloud based
data should keep this from occurring but obviously that's not the case, recovery after the fact, apparently not either.... What's the point? This is the second game I've had to do this, really does take away the desire to use the xbox for gaming.... time to
move back to playstation from my first xbox console?

 

While I sympathize with you having an issue, threatening to move to Playstation doesn't do you much good. If you're that upset with your Xbox One, just sell it and get a PC.

 

hardly a threat, but it's definitely not an issue I've heard of on that console. A threat would be "I'll never own another microsoft device" which would be the equivalent of chopping off my right hand seeing as I buy a new PC yearly for photo editing -.-.
More of a... I need some resolution to see a reason to continue with Xbox. Surprisingly, that's exactly what I said. The tech spent an hour with me trying to find a resolution, and I do appreciate that. Nothing else since the support ticket opened sucks quite
flatly. And exactly as I stated above, why would I continue gaming on a console that risks constant data loss?.. Might as well pull out the old genesis and nintendo

 

Every time I connect somewhere with internet(don't get it where I'm at) the system and game need an update and I download them and when I get home and turn it on diablo 3 crashes. Probably cuz of corrupted profile. This is really a pain in the butt and the
third time I've had to fix this game. Maybe should get PC or PS4. Idk...
