I think its because the achievement is actually for the ones named "treasure goblins" and not "treasure pygmies" (or however you spell it). Keep at it

 

It is for all treasure Pygmies/Goblins etc.,the achievement tracker only tracks Goblins for some reason.

You can see how many you've actually killed in the challenges menu in game,think it's in the "Triumphs" catergory.

You seem to get Deatsmiles if you start the story again with your character.You can also pick them up in adventure mode as well.

 

That sounds more palatable and I'm glad you can get the Death Smiles anywhere in the game rather than a specific area, cheers Daft Badger.

 

Ah thanks Badger as well, learn something new everyday, hopefully I haven't got many left to do then

 

Well I'm going to retire from this phenomenally addictive game today! Too many games I want to play and not enough hours to play them in and for the rest of the gs it will take me well over 100-150 hours! For the record my Goblin/Pygmy tracker was at 33.

I don't think you can trust your trackers on this. Surmising it's only logging enemies named "Treasure Goblin" are being counted is a guess which I think is incorrect.

I've got the achievement even though the stats on that particular one said that I was nowhere near.

It also mis-represents your play time. So I think it's just giving us incorrect info at the moment on that stat.

Mind you there was an update yesterday. This may have changed something.

I'll be playing this game until way past the "Kill 5 000 000 enemies" challenge.

It's one of the best games out there. Hands down.

 

At Matilda, they drop from the elite enemies after you reach lvl 61. So you can get them from any area.

As for tracker and achievements, demolition derby glitched for me. I was trying to get it in the graveyard, got 25, quit out to try again, got to around 25 again and the achievement popped.

 

Yeah,my achievement for that popped when the on screen counter said about 25 as well

 

@ Pougalbear - I had the 2 Deathsmiles I needed pretty soon after during a Bounty Mission. Cheers anyway.
