This game should come with a health warning as it's so addictive, I spend hours going round looking for new legendary weapons & armour!

I found a nice ring yesterday that summons a goblin who follows you round collecting normal weapons and once he picks up so many he turns them into a rare item with a 1/5 chance of being legendary.

You're right about it being addictive, I honestly couldn't tell you what is going on in the game really, all I'm doing is following arrows and bashing stuff to pieces - great mindless fun.

 

Started a fresh play through of the story to get to the "Reaper Of Souls" expansion.

So far that's lasted Mrs Azrael and me 7 hours worth of gameplay on a single playthrough alone. That's speaking to everyone, doing all the side quests and missions and random dungeons... and we've only just gotten to Adria.

So you're definately getting your money's worth and more.

The only problem with this game is it's too addictive.

 

Is there a way to save the game manually ?? Can't see an option to

 

^ I don't think so mate? the game always autosaves when you quit to the home screen though, but when you reload you'll start at the nearest town where you can access the nearest waypoint to where you left off

 

The game uses an auto-save feature that will save your latest progress.

To ensure that progress is as "latest" as you can get... go back to town, go to your flag, change a colour, then change it back.

This allows you to manually prompt the auto save.

The designers of this game must have been having a chuckle with some of the item names, I've had a couple of swords that were called something like masterful gash or something similar ;-)

 

^ Same goes for the names of some of the Elite enemies - Belrag the corpse defiler, Grax the chundermonger and many more : )

The game has been designed to remain challenging as your character maxes out.

With the Paragon system they've basically lifted the roof off the levelling cap and to accommodate that the hardest difficulty, Torment, has 6 increasingly harder levels.

To get the most out of your own game take into account the following:

- The game automatically scales up lower level characters to the same level as the highest level character.

- Difficulty is locked to the host and if the host has not defeated the game "Torment" and above are not available to the host.

So if you want to join a friend on an extremely high difficulty it may not let you because you haven't unlocked it.

Also, if you let a much higher ranked player join your game... then your abilities automatically scale up... but because you're playing on "Normal" or "Hard"... you'll kill all the enemies with a thought. You can't go on to a higher difficulty and the game
becomes kind of boring because there are not enemies that can challenge you.

Just keep that in mind when you start playing, as you will no doubt have many friends who are keen to show off their high level characters to you but with the potential to spoil your game.

 

I agree that joining a game that has a freind at a much higher level does spoil the game, I did on borderlands and yes I racked the xp up but getting killed or doing no damage got boring very quick

 

What's the paragon bit about and how do I get points for it??

 

Your paragon rises once you hit 70 with a character, once you start getting paragon points, there is an option in your item menu to put the paragon points to use to increase your stats.
