    Diablo 3 - Question regarding Multiplayer Local & Online + Live


    I need help with a question regarding multiplayer for D3 on both Xbox 360 and One.

    In order to play D3 Online with a friend using my console to play aswell, do we both need Xbox Live profiles or only one is enough? Like, im playing local with this friend using 2 player slots, but we want to play with +2 other players online. If only my
    main profile has Xbox Live Gold account (And he doesnt have Gold), will it be enough for us to play online? Or do we both need Gold accounts if we want to play together Local + Online?

    Local Multiplayer Online?

    kind of. you can set up a vs match and sign in a guest, no xbox live required for both people. but you can only play vs.

    If you're playing on the Xbox One and your account is set as Home on the console your friend can share the membership and play online.

    If you're playing the 360 version then your friend will need to have his own Gold membership.

    Xbox One games cannot be played with Xbox 360 versions of the game as they are incompatible.

    Question about used Xbox One games

    You will need an XBox LIVE Gold subscription to play online.

    However that subsription is good for anyone using your ONE.

    For example Mrs Azrael needs her own XBox LIVE sub to play locally with me under her own tag and 2 other players on "Diablo III" for the XBox 360... however she will be able to play locally with me under her own tag and 2 other players on "Diablo III" for
    the XBox ONE.

    Doesn't Diablo 3 have local coop? If it does, I'd suggest that one.
