DHCP error

Hi,

Does your phone connect to the internet and load webpages and apps okay?

Does this DCHP error show on the console?

If you're using your phone as a hotspot, the phone acts like a router and uses DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) to assign each device that has been connected to it with an IP address. If, for whatever reason, two devices connected to your phone are issued with the same IP address via DHCP then there will be a conflict and one of them won't be able to connect. You don't actually have to use DHCP and can use a static IP instead, but DHCP is quicker to set up.

There are a number of ways to fix this, but a sure fire way would be to simply reset your hotspot settings.

That means that your phone is not being given an IP address by your Internet provider and you need to call them

If your ip starts with "169" it means a DHCP error

Same here.

It'll jump on and off. And say dhcp error.

That didnt work. Ive tried all of that, still receiving DHCP error message
