    Device Power Options

For the last few weeks, my TV hasn't wanted to power on when I turn on my XB1. I checked the Power options and under "When XBox Turns On/Off, Send" both are set to "Nothing". So I tried to change "Nothing" to the correct option that I want, but "Nothing"
is the only option I have available. This is also the case for my Cable/Satellite Box power options. I even went as far as to reset my XBox to factory defaults to see if this cleared it up. It did not fix the issue.

Has anyone else had this issue? I love the "instant on" feature of the XB1 and how it can automatically turn on my TV. I really want to be able to fix this.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    :)

Cable box missing from device power options

I first set up my x1 and everything worked fine including turn cable box on/off. Then suddenly the tv signal lost sound and lagged. Cable box signal was fine directly plugged to tv so I did a system reset. That fixed the tv issue but oddly, the cable box
is now not in device list, only tv and receiver. I've reset tv settings and ran the setup guide again but it does nothing.

  3. Xbox One no longer powers on/off my TV/Cable Box/Receiver when turned on/off

How are you having the Xbox One "communicate" with your devices? Are you using a Kinect or an IR emitter?

Either way, an IR signal is sent from the Xbox to the device. I would first be sure that nothing is blocking the Kinect/IR-emitter between the other devices.

Also ensure that in the "Device Power Options" settings (Settings-->TV & OneGuide-->Device Control-->Device Power Options [under Power]), make sure your Xbox is set to send a signal. It should be set to "Toggle" instead of "Nothing".

sometimes that feature can be a little touchy, log into your profile and go to Settings / TV & OneGuide / Troubleshooting / Reset TV settings, and complete the setup process again. It will prompt you to send codes to communicate to your TV and your Cable
box for that feature. Here is a link to assist you:
