    Hello All,

    A couple of months ago my Sony Bravia TV (KD-43XF8505) had a large software update which moved it from version 7.0 to version 8.0. (Android TV).

    Since this update, device control on the Xbox for turning the TV on/off or increasing the volume with the Xbox has not worked. I have unset and reset on the Xbox, reset the TV but still it does not work. I have even manually put in the TV model into the
    device control but this does not work.

    It looks to me that the new software update on the TV has changed how the TV is controlled by other devices through HDMI and the Xbox needs an update to make it compatible with the new software.

    Has anyone has this issue as well? Is there any mention of an update to resolve this?

    Hi Benjamin,

    Thanks for coming to the forums. You can go to the
    ideas forums     and make a suggestion there for them to look into it. As the TV was compatible with the console completely in the past. May also want to reach out to Sony and let them know also.

    wired problem with some hdmi and xBox 360

    TEST5: New Sony Bravia TV - my xBox works perfectly with all hdmi ports and all my hdmi cables...

    Change resolutions, disable auto discover display, reconnect to my old TV - doesn't work...

    On New Sony Bravia TV - all works :(

    Same problem here with a Sony Bravia!! Still occurring with the March update/patch.
