  1. Device Control Problems with XBox 360

I continue to have strange issues with device power on - even though I keep my console in standby mode. I use an XBox 360 as a Windows Media Center extender to control my live TV. I have dug through the Device Power Options setup countless times, trying
different devices, finally deciding that the Media Center PC codes work (I also tried Microsoft, Ceton which have the same remote code N1272).

More than 90% of the time, my Xbox 360 does not power on/off with the XBox One console. The TV powers on fine and I have confirmed that IR is being emitted from the IR extension cable plugged in the back of the Xbox One. The strangest thing is that I can
control all functions on the Xbox 360 via the XBox One once I power on the 360 manually. Even stranger is that using the XBox One SmartGlass remote works flawlessly to control the 360 via the XBone - even allowing reliable power on/off. I contacted support
previously and was told to power down the XBox One completely and restart. On this occassion the 360 powered on as expected, but subsequent attempts to power it on fail 90% of the time.

I have tried everything I can think of - fiddling with Device Power Options (switching from Toggle to On/Off, etc). Nothing seems to resolve, although this functionality worked fine for the first few months of owning my XBox One. I was hoping it would
be fixed in a patch (if it was some bug) but it's been months now and this is getting very frustrating.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    :)

Which controller is better, One or 360?

The Xbox 360 controller comes off as more durable to me as well. After rkkeller recent thing with the X1 controller my concerns seem a little validated. Of course with any device if you keep it off the floor and somewhere somewhat safe, you shouldn't have any problems or run into any threat of breaking it.

Hey, ImpurestClub6. Since this is dealing with the console settings, I went ahead and moved this to the Xbox One Console forum for you. Hopefully this will get you more visibility for your issue!
