device ban, first offense, no review options

I received a device ban for my language in a post game text. The individual messaged me post game to harass me, and I cursed him. He reported me, I got an Xbox Live device ban. Permanent. Non-reviewable. I deserved the report. But a permanent ban? REALLY? Called
MS support. No options but to use the enforcement site. So I got a permanent ban from a first offense without an option for review. No phone options. So I'm banned without any recourse for review. What is going on?

I'm retired, with disposable income. I've spent thousands of dollars on equipment and games. Does Microsoft really want to lose me as a customer?

You can view your ban by logging in at enforcement.xbox.com and file a case review if eligible. However if you have a console ban there is no case review option. Device bans are permanent and cannot be overturned.

Threatening to leave as a customer isn't going to persuade them to lift a ban that was warranted even by your own admission.

No one customer is above the rules just because they have money. You have to follow them like everyone else.

Next time block and ignore the person and move on and this won't happen. Have a good Christmas.

 

"ban that was warranted"? Are you serious? Some action might have been warranted, but a permanent ban with no recourse for discussion? You've lost perspective it seems.

 

Unfortunatly Console bans cannot be lifted under any circumstances. Enough Said...

 

You must have done something more than just sent a message back, to warrant a permanent ban. A message cussing the other player would usually for a first breach, warrant a 24hr communications suspension. A 24hr suspension does not have a review process.
