Devastating Issue

Hi I recently came across a problem that definitely needs to be addressed. I have come to the conclusion that the word "Black" has become vulgar and I just don't see how this is right. I can understand from a racial stand-point but black is my favorite color
as with others. This decision needs to be thought over again as any gamer tag could be taken the wrong way. If Black is vulgar, than white should be too. That's not my mission though as both of these should not be vulgar as they are colors, I'm thinking about
other gamer's could look at "Black" the wrong way but you have to understand that people will always interpret stuff the wrong way, that's just how life is. I understand the enforcement team likes to make Xbox LIVE a fun and great community to be apart of
and they deserve all the credit for making LIVE safe and always enjoyable. But please, I'm asking as a fellow gamer who feels completely torn about this issue and I hope something will be done about this, I'll respect the decision either way but I just think
making it available again would be the right thing to do, by the way I couldn't put it in my bio so that's how I came across this issue, but thanks gamers and feel free to reply!

Issues like racism, misogyny and homophobia are rooted deep into individual upbringing and limits own understanding of the world. The vulgar usage of certain words and terms becomes the only way of expression for ignorance and bigotry. Persons that carry
these regressive thoughts will always show themselves in every situation and the best way is not to give them space for a community in development.

That saying as member of Enforcement Team there is nothing against the ethical and tasteful use of the word black in gamertags like Black Narcissus or Black Swan. Choose wisely in order to not give way to misinterpretation.

 

Thanks for your opinion, I have tried your suggestion but it's not working, For example when I type the word black in it says not available and gives me no suggestions which shows it's filtered. I tried it with the gamertag "Black" which is not taken but
it says unavailable and gives me no suggestions, then I tried Black Stair which was filtered out too, basically the combinations you're telling me are all filtered out due to the word Black being vulgar. The only way to make a gamer tag black is to use black
in a random generated combination, such as this combination it gave me "Okayblack23823" Which saddens me that this word which is just a color and personally my favorite and I can't make a gamer tag with it. I can't even put it in my motto. Basically If I put
Black then a random word like Black Stair which is not taken, doesn't work and I've tried many other combinations I know were not taken which shows it is extremely limited. I honestly hope many other gamers and Xbox LIVE enforcement team members come across
this post because it really gets to me.

 

Enforcement only reads threads in the account suspension and console ban section of the forum so they will not be reading or replying to this thread sorry.
