    [Dev String] There is a problem with your current language


    I just started up my console & after start-up went fine to the dashboard, about 5 seconds later i recieved the pop up:

    [Dev String] There is a problem with your current language

    [DEV STRING] Something is wrong with the installed language that you have set. Select repair to fix this issue. Otherwise select not now and we will try again later.

    I've never seen an error like this before, it also is worded as if my console is a dev kit or something. I don't want to hit repair till i know it's safe & isn't going to make any unwanted changes to the coding language. Anyone know what's gong on?

    Hey there! It is possible that you downloaded a game with a different language region than your current profile. What game is in question? Can you re-check the game's info pane in your purchase history and see what language game you downloaded? Also would
    help to know what your current account region is set to. Let us know!

    Achievements Language

    I really hope the dev team address this issue in next update. Everything was fine before the latest update. Achievement listing was always consistent with console's language setting. Even if you messed up, you could always correct it by downloading your
    profile with preferred language setting. Now if you download your profile, your achievement list is shown in your profile language and there is now way whatsoever to change it. Then when you unlock a new achievement, it is shown in the language you set up
    in console option. This really doesn't make sense at all.

    Yeah,it's to do with the latest insider update.Think everyone who got that update had the same message,i know i did.

    There's nothing wrong with your console.

    Just follow gds1972's advice & you'll be good to go.

    Hey There,

    I am sorry that you are having this problem! To fix this problem, You can head to this Link which then you will sign in to your Account associated with Xbox or Microsoft.
    You can then head to the Your Info Section. Then there will be a Language Tab that will ask you for your current language.

    This should change the language!

    The issue is known and the devs stated they are investigating. Meanwhile, to play the game in English, the only solution is to change the language of your Xbox to English.
