Have you tried Breach? You get a Praxis kit for doing the tutorial. Good game mode I just gave it a blast. Glad you quest isn't glitched I was hoping it was just story stopping progress. Cheers Badger!

Finished the game last night, very abrupt ending and a pushover of a boss fight. Managed to get the Pacifist cheevo for not killing a soul, now for a NG+ killing spree!

Overall not a patch on HR either in terms of story or level design, nothing came close to the level complexity or security obstacles that had to be overcome in HR.

To be honest the ending felt like it was half way through the story and Its clearly set up for a sequel (or two) Without giving a spoiler make sure to watch the credits to the end.

It seems to me that HR was the deeper more intense experience where this was Deus Ex light with the hopeful intention of getting deeper over subsequent sequels... time will tell but its definite there's more in store for Jensen after this first post HR
    episode.

    Deus Ex Tomorrow!!

Yay! New blood in the thread! Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :p LadyHawk, that's about where I was yesterday, and while it's a right pain having the city in lockdown, don't fret too much. You're off to LONDON next! (Sorry that I couldn't spoiler the location.)

@Genchy: Good to hear you've earned the Pacifist cheevo - ain't no way I'd even bother with that. I mean, hello? When you have to infiltrate Dvali HQ, they're throwing everything but the kitchen sink at you! And what's the point of saving up all that Typhoon
ammo if I can't let Adam off the leash to vent his frustrations lol.

But again, strongly disagree that HR is any better/worse than this one. I've just posted on another forum about time spent on the hunt of a - brace yourself! - SERIAL KILLER! It's a two-part side mission where you get to lock horns with a formidable adversary,
and trust me, you're better off bringing CASIE along because this is b*** hurt territory. Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :p This is such a deep and incisive quest and I can't recall *anything* of a similar scale from HR. According to the end credits (which I haven't watched obv, however
I believe there's 30G in it according to Xbox Achievements), no less than 16 people were credited with narrative design.

And when you're facing off against [D**** M****], every one of those narrative branches can be traced back to their organic roots. As I said, it's deep! Deus Ex Tomorrow!! ;) Genchy, did you not receive the Day One DLC (Desperate Measures)? It's selectable from "Adam's Stories"
in the main menu and apparently makes more sense once you've finished the game. Speaking of which, so nice to see that our [17-hour] fly-by-nighter hasn't returned to this thread since blinking out *many* moons ago ^_^

Funny that, because according to my dashboard stats, I'm three hours shy of FORTY-EIGHT hours of gameplay! And I'm *still* not done. Now, regardless of how we'd rank this game in the greater Deus Ex Universe, one thing's for sure: it's certainly been GREAT
    value! <3

They didn't even see me in the Dvali HQ! I get the impression you think I'm missing these quests such as the serial killer one, I'm not.

The end credits are worth staying with for the most important cut scene in the whole game.

Yes I have the day one DLC Ive not played it yet as Im going for foxiest of the hounds and some of the lethal cheevos.

Oh yea and I played the first level again last night and beat the sandstorm! Epic! Saved Singh with clear visibility.. Ghosted through the whole level on NG+ in about 5 minutes.

But you were playing on the 'Give Me a Challenge' setting, right? That's obviously why you can ghost through levels because the AI is taking a nap! Come to think of it, combat on the 'Give Me Deus Ex' difficulty hasn't exactly been challenging, because I
can still snap necks and run for cover until the AI finishes a thorough "search". One time I busted two Dvali goons in the tunnel and dropped their bodies right in front of the crate I hid behind. Another Dvali goon came in flexing his gun(s) and DID NOT SEARCH
BEHIND THE CRATE where his two comrades lay. Am guessing he was sleep-deprived! Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :p

    Deus Ex Tomorrow!!

I don't think it would be too challenging on the higher difficulty to Ghost really, its all about timing as you know. I intend to get the cheevo for completing on the highest difficulty without dying, that should be challenging.

There's a hard cheevo in the last level for completing both objectives after you have a choice to make, I popped it last night but I got lucky with taking out a group of augmented enemies which hastened me through the level to the objective as from what
I can make out its timed...

  9. I think I'm playing on 'Give me a challenge' as well. My first playthrough I don't worry about achievements and if something pops, it pops - for instance I have an achievement about cucumbers lol - WTF!

I then spend a few more playthroughs going for the achievements - like not killing anyone, not being spotted etc, makes me think I've got more game for my money Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :D

^ LOL I missed the cucumber one and one about a golden penguin...Im annoyed I missed "Ballsy" as I actually tried to shoot a few hoops but then thought I couldn't be bothered, pretty sure that was a cheevo in HR as well.

  11. I am loving this game. I love stealth titles, particularly ones where they reward you for not killing anyone. Although I think I accidentally killed one person a few hours back. Oh well.

WOW!!!! GAME FINISHED AT 49 HOURS AND 4 MINS! EPIC SHOWDOWN AND ABSOLUTELY *NO* SPOILERS FOR ANYBODY WHO HASN'T FINISHED IT! Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :D

That being said, *why* did I have to use up ALL my ammo and smarts for the epic showdown when Ubisoft Montreal promised that every boss fight could be negotiated? At what point did my Adam mutate into a MURDERER hmm? Am thinking my next move will be reviewing
the full achievement list because I honestly "didn't ask for this"... the bloodletting lol.

And what's with unlocking the 'I Didn't Ask For This' difficulty? Thought it was already opened at the start? According to my stats, game progress is only 87%, but my overall completion is 36% Deus Ex Tomorrow!! :( At what point can I claim to have "finished" the game? Because
there are two crucial moments where your choices ALTERNATE, and you can't do both. Not once are you asked to choose a (path), but TWICE! That's just cruel.

@Genchy: Umm, what's all this about an "abrupt" ending? I came away fully satisfied. Ain't nothing more could be added because the game hits a plateau and all you can do is exhale. DEEPLY. ^_^

You only needed one EMP mine for that fight....and you didn't have to murder him! Did you see the hidden cutscene halfway through the credits? And yes it was abrupt there was zilch explanation about Victors motives or whys, that's why the hidden cutscene
    is so important.
