Detailed Network speed went from 300+mb for the last year to now a low 20-60mb when tested. ...

For the last year I have had 300mb internet and when I would run network tests on both my WIRED laptop and WIRED PORT FORWARDED Xbox one they always used to say 300+ download. Just recently it has gone down on my xbox one to 20-60mb. On my laptop it still
says 300+. I am port forwarded as well as hard-wired. Anyone else having this issue? Did xbox cap their connection speed or maybe my ethernet card is going bad in my xbox one? HELP!!

Detailed Test Results

Hi all.

I recently ran the Detailed Network Test on the Xbox One and noticed that my reported speeds are much lower than what I get from running a test on my PC.

For example, when I run a speedtest to a local server I get a result with a ping of around 10 ms and speeds are 75 mb/s down and 75 mb/s up (Verizon Fios).

When I run the test on the Xbox One My ping isn't bad <50 but my download drops to 2 mb/s and my upload is 20 mb/s.

Any ideas what could be causing the drop? No other devices were running when I performed the test.

But the download speed is very low

It's either a malicious server or a console itself

This is a global problem

But Microsoft did not do anything to fix it

Xbox would never cap internet speeds. Please call your internet provider and ask them why.
