I seen multiple sources, and bungie themselves literally saying the game is now able to be run by a usb. As long as the usb is now fast enough to run it. Seeing as the xbox 360 is literally stuck at 2.0 usb speeds, I have 3.1 usbs therefore the speed isn't the issue.

But of course after buying this non refundable game, it does not even run?

Why would these games exist with noone on the internet explaining it doesn't work? Bungie literally said it now works back 5 years ago. So why am I losing 50$ right now?

And why doesn't xbox or bungie have any support.

Yeah honestly I woke up for work and was mostly worried about not finding a support email. But after making the forum and thinking for a while, I also think I did not take the (or any) correct response to calibrate my usb drive.

But I had purchased two 64 gigabyte drives thinking as well that it is average 30 gigabytes plus updates.

Today I'm hoping this will work but if not, I'm hoping Walmart has an extensive return policy.

Otherwise as you said 80 gigabytes minimum I am again skeptical aha. There should just be a easily accessible guide which dictates modern day set up.

But yeah at work I just kept thinking, "what's more possible, noone on the internet is mentioning the problem, or I'm doing something stupid and obviously wrong lol". That no refund is scary though.

Keep in mind you can't use a a 40gig drive I suggest over 100gig at least or minimun80 as you do need to download updates

You can run external memory up to 2TB capacity, but when you first connect it, format it using the Xbox format utility. I ran into that problem using a non formatted USB and it wouldn't read until I did. Also, prior to 2015 usb was limited to 32GB and this was changed with a patch update.

About speed:

I have 20GB and 120GB Microsoft Xbox 360 HDDs, and the 20GB is much, much faster. What I mean by that is, when I run the 20GB drive the dashboard is faster to nagivate in response to stick commands, and game textures load seemlessly. I never found a fix for the 120GD HDD, but I believe may have came from a different generation Xbox 360. Textures can lag a second or two on some games' scenes on rare ocassions. Otherwise works fine.

The top load Microsoft Xbox 360 SATA HDD uses a 2" laptop harddrive. I don't know if it needs special formatting if you install a high capacity type or swap in a solid-state drive. Most parts on the 360 need to be sent to Microsoft service center for programming, like the DVD drive, etc. Might be good to contact the service department on what they offer, as changing out certain parts youself can have your machine banned, and yes the Xbox tells them once it connects online.

I don't know exactly what the speed of the factory SATA harddrive connection is (1.2-1.5Gbits/s maybe) versus the front 2.0 USB ports (~480Mbits/s), so using a solid state HDD over USB might not offer an advantage over a traditional type over USB, but then again it might since your not waiting for mechanical parts to move and adjust to prior to reading data. I recommend a good quality drive, like a Western Digital, which offers different grades for reliability in tiered price points. For USB sticks I use HP and higher priced Sandisk.

Back up your game saves to a backup drive anyway. Not everything can be duplicated to more than one device at a time, but most game saves can be backed up in case of failure.
