Had a blast on the Alpha last night... awesome fun.

Yeah, PS4 has got the Alpha test for the weekend (and it's not alpha in the slightest... if that games not mostly finished, then I'm the pope).... go onto Twitch and you'll find quite a few streams.

Shooting, movement, art style, vehicle handling is all Halo. Loot, stats, ammo/damage types, etc are all Borderlands.

The reason I said it's an MMO is cos for all intents and purposes it is. In free roam you'll come across other players/groups running about doing their thing. The hub world it's teaming with players too.

There seems to be a crafting system (maybe locked off in the alpha), there's storage lockers for your extra gear. You can upgrade weapons, armour, etc.

I'm really impressed so far. Not had any issues... it's solid from a gameplay and connectivity standpoint.

 

@MGF how is it graphically (not expecting much being an Alpha)?

Cannot wait to fire this up later.

Graphically it's very nice. Can't see it changing much.

 

Been playing the Alpha for a couple days and must say I am very impressed. Looks amazing graphically and is as smooth as butter! If this is Alpha I can't wait to see the full game in action! Very polished, the only glitch I have found is that I can't seem
to connect to other players in The Tower. I've found a couple of dudes running around on Earth (ran through a building once and ended up finding 2 guys going at it with a big mecha spider thing, so helped out).

The PVP is surprisingly fun too. Basically like Halo except you can aim down sight.

 

Played a bit of this over the weekend. The co-op is good, exploration was not that exciting and will need livening up imo but the strike was excellent and quite challenging (although i was under levelled).

PvP is fun, it is alot like Halo with slight tweeks, Graphics are very good. Cant see them improving too much. This has gone onto my pre-order list now
