    Errr why is it saying this when i am connected to xbox live, my friends are on it now, why can't i get on it?

    Destiny won't play

    I just want to know when Destiny is going to be up and running. Every time I try to play Destiny a message pops up saying; ATTENTION: You must be connected to Xbox Live in order to play Destiny. I am, so what's the deal?

    If you are connected to Xbox Live, you are writing in the wrong forum.

    With that being said, could be the update, or a Bungie issue.

    I had this issue today. Hard reset by holding the power button (while already on) for 10 seconds. Power back on (green startup screen will appear). This will force the destiny update when you start the game and then work.

    I had my whole network on the XB1 go down today for some odd reason. I was in the middle of Destiny about to start the crucible with a whole group of friends and then... Dropped. It kicked me out of the game, XBL, and the console acted as if my network didn't
    even exist anymore. I had to set it all up all over again! Even worse - this is not the 1st time this has happened. Since my family got our XB1 console, it's happened at least 3x... Destiny - "You need to be connected to xbox live to play Destiny" :(

    Destiny - "You need to be connected to xbox live to play Destiny"

    Currently experiencing the message "You must be connected to Xbox Live in order to play Destiny." I have Xbox live until the middle of Feb. My friends list is up and friends online. But then other friends experiencing the same issues. Unsure of what to do,
    wait time for support is over 400 minutes. I was online logged into my character and then booted from Destiny servers.

    Can't connect to Xbox Live after downloading The New Xbox one experience

    Signing out and back in will work to get live showing active on dashboard, but when I try to play destiny it's telling me I need to connected to xbox live.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Duke,

    Xbox Live servers are currently experiencing some issues that they are working to get fixed. unfortunately, this means we cannot play destiny, or use applications that need to be synced, such as Netflix or Hulu Plus. Since Destiny uses cloud storage and
    an active live connection to track progress and play with the community, it will not be playable until the servers are back up. Hope this helps!
