    Destiny Won't Install


    It'll load up to Transferring content, then gets stuck at 4%, resets. Installing from dash gets to 11-15% and says dirty disc (all my other discs read & install fine btw). I have 31GB available on my 250GB HDD, (installed in a Xbox 4gb) chat support can't
    figure it out. (ports forwarded, open NAT, cleared cache 10x in a row, deleted/recovered profile, every other disc based game works, can install games from disc & download, online works great for me)...all the usual trouble shooting steps but nothing. They
    referred me to Bungie...Bungie won't answer...

    Will be getting refund of game from Gamestop since we've also gotten 3 different discs from them. Has anyone had troubles installing from the disc, but then the Games on Demand version works fine. Does the Games on Demand version have the issue with installing?

    i cant download destiny because it says my device is full yet it has 8 gb free of storage and destiny is 6.75 gb. i also spent 45 dollars on this so thats 45 dollars frickin wasted.

    Because destiny requires 20gigs on top of that to install

    www.xbox.com/.../destiny

    8gigs is just the download size not the install size

    Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. Perhaps the laser on your drive is starting to die. This would mean that you would need to repair/replace the console though. How old is it?

    Also, I downloaded the Games On Demand version and had no issues with it. A bonus of that is that you can download the Xbox One version of the game absolutely free until Jan 15 if you already have one or are planning on getting one.

    Not my laser. All my other physical games install/play no problems, unless there are obvious scratches.

    The laser was a suggestion. However you should keep that in mind if other discs suddenly develop the same issue.

    Like what's been said above, maybe its a disc issue. I would suggest taking it back to where you bought it from and getting a new copy.

    I have had a problem where it freezes after ten minutes of the first install. I have tried clearing my cache but it did not make a difference. WHAT CAN I DO!!!
