Destiny will not download

I have been trying to download the game content for destiny for several hours now. It downloads a majority of the content but then it stops on transferring game content and downloading from xbox game store. I have already stopped the download, deleted the
contents, cleared the cache, unplugged the xbox for 5 minutes, and restarted the download process and I am running into the same problem. It is a Xbox 360 slim with a 4gb internal hard drive. It has a 500gb Microsoft hard drive installed. All other games including
skyrim, diablo, and shadow of mordor are working fine. Please help.

Thunder, Did you get any reply on this? My Destiny keeps on freezing over, upload speed is reminding me of my commodore 64 back in the days.....

With a 200MB/sec connection at my place & the internet posts on this subject, it looks like it is up to Microsoft to take care of this.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. If you're currently having trouble with Destiny go ahead and create a new thread outlining your issue. This thread is a bit older and some more information can help get this fixed for you.

 

I'm trying to help a friend with this same issue. A new Xbox 360 and a Destiny disc. They added another internal hard drive and haven't used the Xbox at all yet. It's hardwired and the initial downloads were fine. But now it's stuck at transferring game
content (5.51 GB) at around 5%. It seems to be moving, but extremely slowly as they started doing this early today.

Any ideas?

 

I think Destiny wants to have like 30 gigs of space open on your hard drive. If you can free up some space by moving other things to flash or external hard drive, that might do it.

 

That is correct. You'll need at least 30 GB of storage for the game on the 360 (this includes a 10GB update)
