Destiny: What we know so far v6.0

I don't necessarily care about my characters levels, subclasses or even gear, but the shaders, ships and emblems are another matter. I don't see why it would be so bad for us to still have those in Destiny 2. Also they could follow the same route as WoW
and have transmogs that let you take on the appearance of old gear with the new gear stats/perks. I do think it would be cool to have a single characters for 10 years as originally proposed though, I mean they already added new subclasses to them so wouldn't
be hard to do again.

@Doc - When you say the forge, do you mean the forge bounties? Because you'd be the only I know that randomly got it from a finishing public event in the forge as it definitely comes from completing a bounty. I'm trying to find out if anyone has gotten it
from the vanguard bounties.

Well I went flawless this weekend, got the adept blind perdition which is apparently the new doctrine of passing or so I've been told. It's pretty spiffy though, the sight outlines the enemies in red, very cool.

 

looking forward to finally giving wrath of the machine a go tonight! really want more news on the return of SRL tbh.

 

Hey, I got a question for Destiny Players if you guys can help. I was just on another Forum and heard news that Destiny vanilla from day one release can't even be played anymore without owning the DLC or the "completed" version.

Is there any truth to this? Because if I can't even play the Content I bought back then, MS and or Bungie owes a refund. If this is the case I will be contacting Support for a Digital refund. They can keep its stupid Achievements unfinished on Destiny if this
is true.

 

you can play all content except for nightfalls and raid activities.

they have a vanilla playlist for normal strikes and crucible but as above you cannot do daily missions and nightfalls as they are using the new content and light levels

 

Okay thank you iBakez, the other Forum must be incorrect or there is some difference in Platform maybe? I'll check later today if I get a chance. Not that I ever really plan on playing Destiny again but more of principle of purchase.

 

No its the same on whatever platform, you can play the Vanilla game but significant amounts of content are no longer playable which is the gaming crime of the century that's been pulled off with relatively little outcry.....

 

^ this. EvilTedi was a regular on destiny before they pulled this rubbish. For me it hasnt affected me as i still enjoy destiny to this day but for those day1 buyers who dont have the additional content they must be ***.

 

^ yep, I enjoyed it and had some great times playing with friends and forumers but couldn't stomach the shiftyness so won't support it anymore. Shame really people rage against MTs but don't bat an eyelid over a base game being nerfed to,the point that
it's pointless owning it. Go figure......

 

The whole Destiny idea has been a sore spot with me.... I did wind up spending like 400 hours playing but the live : die: repeat...uggg.... The free for all was good.... I liked winning with the original rifle you are given at the beginning of the game...
beating lvl 30+'s.... The day they restricted access when the first DLC was released was the end of my Destiny interest/.

 

^ Yup, I used to love playing Destiny with Genchy, Fatal, N7 Ghostz, Cloudstrife and Roseybabe, Fooxman, Enendaveyboy, Xenomorph, Ladyhawk and iBakez. It's great game, but if you don't buy the latest DLC you are limited. A player should have option when
they want to buy the DLC, not have content restricted until you do. Hope Destiny 2 is different.

 

I definitely understand the principal of not wanting to pay extra when you should still be able to access the original game you paid for, it's something I complained about when I heard they were leaving the old raids behind etc. Unfortunately I am helplessly
addicted to this game and it's nearly become the only thing I play, so spending $40 a year is saving me $100's in the end, haha.

What's everyone's thoughts on supremacy for Iron Banner? I'm not sure I like the game mode because I'm primarily a sniper so it's hard to snipe then get dem tags.

 

DA, yeah, the bounty popped when I claimed "Captain Encounters at the Forge". Got the next step of the Thorn bounty now. Complete Wretched Eye and use a key at the end. Great.................. The crucible part was alot easier than the first time round.
You don't lose any progress for deaths.

 

^Thank you for confirming, I have not come across one person who has gotten it from the normal bounties. This week is my week, I just know it! Haha.

 

I got mine from the new guy who gives you the weekly bounties as well

I'm 40% into my crucible part of the Thorn bounty, - its a slow hog for me.

 

I'm really enjoying everything so far, have yet to dip my toe into the raid but looking forward to it, I'm still waiting for the thorn bounty to drop had the year one and it was a fun gun to use
