Destiny: What we know so far v6.0

really enjoyed the new content last night. The main story isnt exactly memorable but the addition of lots to do will be good for people who play a lot like myself.

Had a go at the top level archons forge which was brilliant. 6 people were invovled and we killed the dreg with 1 second left!!!

Also, was nice to see it liek the old days where if a public event dropped, several guardians all hopped in to help rather than people just milling around doing their own thing. Good times.

Levelling up will be a grind though, gear only seems to drop 1 or 2 light levels above what you are wearing which can get annoying but helps stretch it out i suppose.

I didn't get this email with the stats so hopefully it hits today. I would like to check that out. A lot of my mail has been sent automatically to junk for some reason so lets hope its somewhere in there.

I'm looking forward to the public events the most I have to admit. I love the way they work and I love the team work aspect to them. I just cant wait to come across some huge mammoth sized bad guy that will take ages to take down.

On the moon mission.. who was that guardian that stood on the cliff top just before we opened up the big doors? Does anyone know?

Digi is back from his break and woo mama, I probably played a little bit too much Destiny, but I wish I could still be playing right now!

For those who want fast light to 365, load up the sepiks prime strike on the cosmodrome, up the difficulty to 320 and run it over n over, the blues at the end will always drop at higher light until they cap out at 365. So it's like running the heroic strikes
without the modifiers and at 320 instead of 350. From 365 onwards, switch to the 320 strike playlist and grind out skeleton keys and exotics or play the raid.

Completed the raid twice, man it's so easy, but still really rewarding! It's going to be really challenging on hard mode though, some sections people just will not be able to die, like at all. The final boss fight took us like 6 hours the first time though,
but the second group we all knew what to do so took 2 tries. There's 4 exotic chests that I know of as well!

I'm not a fan of the archon forge, it's been done poorly.... I shouldn't have to grind for siva offerings only to get every instance I don't need for the bounties, whoever thought holding only one offering at a time is an idiot. I did however get 'But Not
Forgotten' with hidden hand on my 4th forge so I can't complain about that.

Overall I've really enjoyed this DLC, I like saladin and Shiro narrating as I was kind of sick of Cayde and Zabala. The environments are refreshing, the story was short, but interesting and gjallahorn is back! That thing has not left my heavy slot, haha.

 

5 exotic chests apparently one at the end which is activated by 5 monitors throughout the raid to clear out the laser beams stopping you from getting through

 

I got the Outbreak Prime last night and whoa nelly that thing is pretty ***, but just thought I'd warn everyone that goes for it in future to make sure you have some time aside as you need a warlock, hunter and titan from start to finish and if the team
breaks up you will have to find the other classes again at the same step. Also there is a little math involved as well, haha, really awesome quest tbh.

 

Wow, this thread has been so quiet compared to before RoI released!?

I need to ask if anyone has gotten the Thorn quest? What happened when you got it? Did another bounty pop up like in year 1 or is it actually a quest that appears in the quest log thing OR do you need to go see Shiro to pick it up?

That's mostly a good thing. We need new fresh content. Ie new subclasses and skill trees

I got the Thorn quest from the Forge DA. Just popped at the end. My brother was calling me all sorts of names! Lol.

 

Nice on Doctor, I've got the Thorn quest as well, up to the bit where I have to go into the crucible

 

Going to see if private matches work Lady. If not, time to break out the old void weapons!
