destiny was purchased without my authorization with my pay-pal account

Hi i received an email stating that i purchased Destiny while i wasn't even at home to purchase it. it was purchased via my paypal account. how do sort this out? have i been hacked?

I just installed a new Xbox 360 gametag SemisolidNine16. I purchased a 3 mo Gold membership which I paid with my Pay Pal account. My child received a 3 month gold membership gift card which I processed on his account. I want this applied to the original
3 months I purchased and I want to remove my Pay Pal account due to my child not understanding how to navigate your system and purchasing about $65 dollars worth of games. I am willing to go ahead and pay for these but I want to remove the pay pal so he cannot

Paypal requires a creditcard?

I don't believe you need a Credit card or a Debit card with Pay Pal. You can link your bank account to your paypal, and pay for things without a card. You need to log in or create a Pay Pal account and click add Bank Account under your profile.



You will need to verify your bank account, to do this Pay Pal will debit $1 from your bank and then re-credit you that amount. Once that is done you can use Pay Pal without a Credit or Debit card.

 

Does anyone else live with you? Perhaps they purchased the game under your account. You can check the purchase commerce.microsoft.com.

If you believe that your account was compromised then you'll need to contact phone support to open an Unauthorized Access Ticket. While there you can speak with billing about the purchase.

thanks guys for your replies, i spoke with xbox and they just refunded the purchase. they dont think my details have been hacked, but the purchase was made. i know i didnt do it, nor did my children in my home. its weird that it happened and i have changed
my passwords. hopefully itll be okay.

You can also secure your account by updating your security information.

http://account.live.com and select Security and Password, then update your security information by adding alternate email address and phone number.
