I also received this error message. I cannot believe there is any tolerant response by microsoft or bungie still for this problem.

Has ANYONE managed to get the Trial to work? I own Destiny but was keen on my brothers trying it so we could finally play together, but feel a right Pillock now for asking them to download the trial that doesn't even work.

So, mine just started working suddenly. I had left the console in instant on mode (don't know if that had anything to do with it, but I don't normally do that), and when I turned it on last night, a pop up appeared saying Destiny was ready to play. Everything
seems normal now. Not really sure why.

Mine trial is working too. I instaled the game and tried to start it a day or two back. It gave me a message I should connect to Xbox Live (which I was) and I can't play so I left it.

Today, because of different problem, I removed my account from ONE, set the power to instant-on and did a hard-restart. After that I logged to my account, did some different things and all of sudden a message that Destiny is ready to play popped out. I gave
it a try and it worked. I did the first mission and entered the Tower.

Same thing just happened to me. I waited forever to get the 20GB download. It said 100% downloaded but still showed up in the download queue. If I tried to play it said to put in the disk or to sign in with the account that purchased the game, I only have
one account on my ONE and I was logged in with it. If I went into the queue and chose continue download it said "Download Stopped" I rebooted my ONE and still no success. So I uninstalled and went to go download again. But now it says trial expired.

Trial expired and Something else I failed to mention.

Another message that is displayed is:

Installation is almost done

If you have a game disc, insert it now. Otherwise, make sure the person who bought this is signed in to Xbox Live, then choose Finish.

1) Why would a game download require a disc?

2) I am signed into Xbox Live;

Any answer?

Same problem here. After hours downloading the download won't finished and i get a "trial expired"
