Destiny The Taken King

I have a big problem with my game and dlc's. I bought all the expansions for Destiny and I wanted to move my game over to my xbox one and I wasnt able to download the Taken King expansion. I bought it already on my 360 though a few xbox friends can buckup
to that, I even faced the Taken King and his minions on the 360, now I can't download the expansion on my xbox one to continue my guardian, what should I do. Buy the expansion again and spend another 50 dollars on something I already bought. It complete bull
if you ask me.

doesnt destiny the taken king come with: destiny, expansion 1 and 2 and the taken king for 60$?

I was doing some research and it looks like The Taken King was not part of the upgrade feature. Here is the article I found on Bungie.net

Yes, to confirm, Bungie and Activision decided not to continue the free upgrade program that they had for the base game and first two expansions through to The Taken King. To play that content on Xbox One you will need to buy the expansion again. Sorry
