Destiny The Taken King digital download

I understand that you're upset over this. However, this is not a decision made by Microsoft. Please remember that Bungie has made a deal with Activision regarding content for Destiny that favors the Playstation console. Destiny was originally never intended
for Xbox although I'm glad they did add us.

Info regarding which content is released and when it is released would be coming from the Bungie/Activision end.

 

To Xbox 360 Group - what is the status on when access to Pre-Order Destiny Taken King for Xbox 360 will be available?

Nothing is being posted by anyone that is providing any insight into why it is not yet available.

Can someone from Xbox respond to everyone as to when it will be available? The Xbox One owners can pre-order, but what about the larger XBox360 community?

@onyx - never heard that it wasn't meant to ever be on xbox consoles. like to know the source of that info and real quick, why do you keep tagging your replies as suggested answers when half the time they have nothing to do with the original topic?

@SuperDude - it's been mentioned on page one of this thread that the digital version of the DLC (just TTK) will be available to download on the 15th

 

I too already own Destiny, Dark Below, and House of Wolves and tried getting the digital download preordered for my 360. I can't. My concern is that we're just 2+ days away from release of Taken King and the content isn't orderable and I'll miss out on
the preorder bonuses (emblem, shader, etc.).

 

hey Darthdad, I got lucky (or unlucky depeding on how you look at it). but i can tell you from what i read (can't recall where but it was from someone at bungie) that as long as you purchase it digitally on the 15th, and maybe as late as the 16th, you will
still have access to that Suros Bundle (shader, emblem, etc.)

this is also what Bungie has on the Taken King FAQ page:

"All Day 1 Taken King players will automatically qualify for additional weapon pack offers."

my guess is this is to accommodate 360 users who want to purchase TTK digitally for $40. hope this info helps you.

 

I just downloaded the TTK Collector's Edition for my kids on our xbox 360. I did this under my xbox live account (Purchases Allowed). I am able to see the new content on my Destiny game profile but neither of the other 2 children accounts can. Is there
something that I'm missing.

 

DW1, thanks. I thought the Suros Bundle was a weapons pack and therefore separate from the emblem, shader, etc.

I love Destiny and play it frequently. That's why its so disappointing not to have a definitive, unambiguous store item like the XB1 does.

I believe that many 360 owners (including myself) were eager to get the preorder bonuses for Taken King. Those include the Suros weapons pack as well as the special emblem, shader, etc. My concern is that since those are PREORDER bonuses, if we purchase
the digital version on 9/15 without having preordered it (since its unavailable by design) then we'll miss out on the preorder bonuses. That's why so many people are upset that we 360 owners who purchased Destiny at launch and bought DB and HoW (or Expansion
Pass) are the ones left out in the cold with Taken King launch imminent.

 

Darthdad969, that is why it has been stated repeatedly in this thread that Bungie has stated that "Unfortunately digital pre-orders are not available for the Xbox 360 platform. You will be able to purchase The Taken King $40 expansion on 9/15 when The Taken
King releases.

Note that all Day 1 Taken King players will have access to the bonus weapon packs."

And "Destiny players who have reached light level 30 or who previously purchased Expansion I and Expansion II by August 31, 2015, will receive an exclusive commemorative Founder's Fortune year 1 Emblem, Sparrow, Armor shader and more at launch with your
purchase of The Taken King."

 

This question is NOT ANSWERED!!! WHERE IS THE STANDALONE DLC FOR THE TAKEN KING????!!!!! WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE?

Why is MS and Bungie making this so hard? Why not just tell us when it would be available??? I'm REALLY angry at MS and Bungie.

 

The question has been answered several times in this thread as well as others. The DLC on the 360 will be available on the 15th as per Bungie.

 

This is ridiculous! The digital download is still available for the Xbox One, but not for the 360?? I have screenshots proving it. What the hell microsoft?

 

I'm with those who have said this question is not being answered. Let me lay it out simple.

The Game has a core version and two current DLC's. The new, 3rd, DLC launches tomorrow.

According the Bungie, this DLC is available to preorder as a digital download here and now. The Xbox store further proves this is true for Xbox One users.

The gig is supposed to be that if someone owned the DLC 1 and 2, you could preorder the digital download for $40.00. Again, go look at the store and you'll see you can for the Xbox One. Why are 360 users getting shafted?

 

Only the XBOX ONE version is available still.

If the 360 version is out there, I can't find it.

Anyone??

 

I actually have both a 360 and a One. I bought the One version so I'm curious if I have to buy the 360 version as well?
