Destiny The Taken King Digital Collector's Edition on Xbox 360. Can't download the game.

Hi. Today I purchased Destiny The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition on my Xbox 360. After downloading the 45mb bundle app I launched it and got a screen with 3 Destiny characters and list of 3 steps, telling me to download additional content. The
list of content consist of 2 items: Expansion 1 - 108 kb and Expansion 2 - 108 kb too. The problem is that Expansion 1 is not downloading. It starts downloading, becoming 1%, going back to 0%, then to 1% again, and after some time the Xbox message "Can't download
Expansion 1 " on the bottom of the screen appears. Expansion 2 downloads quickly and fine.

I cant start the game, because there is nothing to start - it's only "Collector's Edition" bundle app icon in my game list.

Please, help.

I Paid for Content and Now it is Gone

So just a few days ago I bought Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition for $30.00 USD in the Xbox Live Store because it was on sale for Gold Members. That bundle includes Destiny, Destiny: The Taken King, and Destiny: The Taken King -
Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade. I was able to download everything. However in game my Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content did not show up. So I quit and closed the game completely and went into manage game and uninstalled
it. I then reinstalled the Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content and restarted my game. It did not appear again so I quit and completely closed the game. But when I uninstalled it and to try again my Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition
Upgrade did not appear in the add-on to download section like it normally does. So can someone help me figure out what went wrong? I paid for this add I want my content back. I am writing on the Destiny forums about the content not appearing but can someone
tell me why I cannot see or re-download the Destiny: The Taken King - Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade content. Thank you!

Hey there!

Have you tried deleting the game and all it's associated content, then clearing the

system cache and trying to install again? Are you using an hard drive to download the content onto?

Hi and thanks for answering. I've contacted with @XboxSupport team and we tried many different steps to repair all this. Sadly, clearing the cache and redownloading the profile didn't help. I am using native 120Gb hard drive with 30+ Gb free space during
all this situation. Other digital games, also online multiplayer ones (World Of Tanks), downloading without problems.

 

If it helps, I can't download Destiny Demo also - it says "Error 8C230002".

 

Tried one more time - deleted everything, related to Destiny - Collector's edition app, Destiny folder (around 56kb), then cleared the cache, restarted the console, downloaded the Collector's edition app. and still got problem with Expansion 1.

 

Thanks for trying, let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox 360 console and please provide the following information.

How to run the test.

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select
   System Settings.
2. Select Network Settings.
3. Select the name of your wired or wireless network (if applicable).
4. Select Network Statistics.

Please provide this information/results

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)
• Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number

That information will help us determine the next best steps. Thanks!

Thanks everyone for trying to help. I've contacted Xbox support chat team, we checked everything console-end realted. Figured out, it's the Collector's Edition bundle app mistake, which isn't downloading particular "expansion 1", but normally downloading
"expansion 2". Bungie-side mistake. Will be contacting their support now.

 

Network statistics:

Download speed: 6,33 mbps

Upload Speed: 22,09 mbps

Latency: 218 ms

Packet Loss %: 0

Wireless strength: Wired connection

Modem manufacturer: -

Router Manufacturer: ASUS RT-N16

Downloaded "Rage" game today - 20,89 Gb. No problem.

 

Thanks for the details and info on downloading Rage. The connection seems to be okay, but the latency is a bit high. It can cause lag issues in games, but shouldn't be affecting downloading. Keep us in the loop and let us know what you find out from Activision
Support!

Is there any progress with the problem? Did Bungie answered anything? I've got the same problem with Legendary Edition on xbox 360

 

Hey KendyMe. I couldn't contact with Bungie support - their forums are unavailable for me, because only people with "player" status can post there, which is exactly our problem - we even can't download the basic game.

I've contacted Xbox support team via chat, they asked me to wait for a week, if they can contact Bungie and solve the problem.

It would be very helpful, if anyone, who got that problem with digital versions of Destiny, contact Xbox Support team so they see, that it's not single case problem. If it helps, my Xbox support ticket number is [MOD Removed - Please see
