Destiny social interactions are unplayable [EXTREMELY ANNOYING]

I cannot even play the game, it always boots me to orbit or to the main screen. First off whenever I try to play the crucible it
ALWAYS disconnects me and kicks me into orbit. So I thought I should test the Xbox Live connection and
voil found the problem "Matchmaking: Service Alert", so far I looked online and nothing at all has helped me in my search to fix this. Ever since I have gotten this game it has been a struggle, first off I had to buy a new hard drive for my Xbox because
my old HDD was only limited to a very small amount , then I figured out I couldn't play strikes,raids and the crucible. So I went and bought an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and I also figured out that there was more to experience with the DLC and so I bought that
too and now I can't even play this game which I have spent over $120 on. This is outrageous that I can't even play my game that I have spent ridiculous amounts of money on. All my other games with multi-player work perfectly with NO issues. I REALLY
NEED HELP ON FIXING THIS ISSUE!

Note 1: I have not tried re-downloading my profile as I fear it might ruin or cause even more errors with my console

Note 2: I have neither tired port-forwarding because it seems extremely complicated and I fear I will somehow ruin my access to the internet or ruin my router

Chat in destiny

This is one of those small changes that would make such a HUGE difference. For a socially interactive game, Destiny is severely lacking in the social and interactive part :-/

 

Social Interaction Unlocks

Does anyone have a list for what Social Interactions you need to do to unlock things for the Zoo. I know I did one with the Lions that unlocked a statue perhaps.. but I have been unable to find a full list?

 

I'm not sure why you posted with a brand new account if you have a Gold on your other one. However, when you get booted out of the game you are given an error code (eg. marionberry). You'll need to head to the Bungie website and type the code into their
search page to find out what it means.

Try power cycling your modem/router to see if that helps.

Also, is your NAT open or closed? That makes a difference as well.

 

I'm also having trouble with destiny ever since the matchmaking alert went up. Everything loads more slowly than it did the first two weeks I was playing. Takes me almost an hour to get from the start screen to the tower. I won't get booted, but loading
screens last 20 minutes and inventory won't load. Still looking for a solution though I suspect the issue is on either Microsoft or Bungie's end, not mine.

 

Yours sounds like a different issue than the OP. Please create a new thread detailing the problem exactly.

In the meantime you can try power cycling your console by holding the power button for 10 seconds until it shuts down then power cycle your modem/router by unplugging it (them) for 10 seconds while the console is off.

How did you fix that??? Please, help me... i'm having the same issue and i cant play destiny anymore!
