Well thanks for showing us that the Forums aren't full of elitist jerks like the main Destiny Forums right?

Pulling LT and RT on a standard sparrow makes it stop because RT is the brake.

On the Raid sparrows it gives a boost but do it for too long and you'll explode. My buddy has the VOG one (left over from ages ago). So no, the sparrows aren't even.

Just out of curiosity, I do wonder if anyone reached rank 3 quickly because they did the following....

.........

(1) They get 5 of their friends to play the Sparrow Race with them

(2) One person is designated to win 1rst place every single time because the other 5 racers would just hang back on purpose

(3) Once this designated person reaches rank 3, someone else will be assigned to always be in 1rst place while the others would just hang back again on purpose

(4) Rinse and repeat until all 6 players are rank 3

^Um no, I'm nearly at SRL rank 5, it's honestly not hard to finish the races, I purposely was trying to come last so I could hit every gate on a race and would still catch up to people, it's just a matter of getting used to the tracks like any racing game.

Also I can speak from personal experience when I say the raid sparrows are useless for this event, I would blow myself up more often than not because you can't hear the warning beeps, they give you no advantage what so ever and I hardly even race against
people using them.

What matters for this event is sparrows that have the lateral movements (RB or LB) and also the gear that has perks that surrounds having more fuel to use the lateral movements, it's not a coincidence that the gear is focused on those abilities as they give
you the biggest advantage. Hit a gate and then quickly tap LB or RB to take a really sharp corner and watch as others take a wider turn and miss the apex of the corner, it really is just like simple racing.

I don't know anyone who has had to find a way to boost or cheat to level up in Destiny.

I said a lot more but decided to delete it. I'm trying to get off
Santa's Naughty List this year.

 

^What I would suggest to you Lei is let everyone go in front so you don't have the pushing and shoving going on as that can throw you into walls etc. then just use the brake to slowly go around the corners and continuously hit the gates and you shouldn't
stay too far behind the group. I also steer using both joy sticks, so look towards the direction you're turning and you will take a much sharper turn than if you were just using the left joystick to turn.

If you can't finish the race doing that then I'm afraid there maybe no hope for you, honestly I'm racing against people who aren't even taking it seriously anymore so you shouldn't have too much trouble unless I'm seriously underestimating how bad you are...

Leifang you will get decent loot even if you are coming last.

This will give you a chance to check out the tracks.

As there are only TWO it shouldn't take you too long to wrap your head around them.

Both tracks have little spots where you can take a short cut.

Keep an eye on race leaders to give those away.

The gates are narrow for the leading sparrow. They widen as more pass through them.

I'm not sure if they offer a better boost or not.

I am fully aware of the loot rewards that are doled out post match, but unfortunately they have been the same lesss than 290 garbage that I've been getting

Maybe if I was Rank 1 there might be loot rewards the are 300 attack / defense, but since I only have 190 out of the 1750 (I think) XP to reach level 1 it is still A LONG way to go before I get there.

I am Light Level 298 now and I just need that little push to reach Light Level 300

Being a Rank Zero apparently means that all of the stuff I am getting is utterly useless

I was in a really really really foul mood after only being able to finish a race twice in the 2 hours that I spent playing the Sparrow racing and the very idea of stepping foot once again into the Sparrow racing scene is making my blood boil already

I am really beginning to hate Bungie / Activision because look at the following....

There are 3 goals that players want to get. They are reaching Light Level 300, Light Level 310, and Light Level 320.

I understand the need to make it difficult to reach Light Level 300 when TTK came out without the Raid.

I understand the need to make it difficult to reach Light Level 300 when the Raid finally came out. Making the new max Light Level 310.

Here is what I don't understand...

After the Hard Raid came out the max Light Level rose to 320. So why is the RNG outside of the Raid still spewing out the same garbage 260 to less than 290 gear for players looking to just hit Light Level 300? It is difficult to get gear that is in the
290 range, let alone the ones that are 296 to the 300 range is pretty much like winning the lottery.

You would think that " Bungie / Activision " would go something like...

" Okay, since the max Light Level is now 320, maybe we should provide solo players with a means to at least make it easier for them (solo players) to reach Light Level 300 by making the RNG outside of the Raid better "

The response to this is...

" No way, they (solo players) must suffer until they play mutliplayer to get better gear because Destiny is a social game and we cannot deviate from this theme. Who cares if they (solo players) are struggling to hit Light Level 300, our new lowest goal
to reach from the 310 and 320.

Bungie / Activision seriously needs to improve the RNG to reach Light Level 300 outside of the Raid because even the Nightfalls are a joke when it comes to rewards!

I have only done a couple of Nightfalls and I only got " 1 " upgrade from them!

Bungie / Activision needs to create solo missions that will bring solo players to Light Level 300. Just to be clear, I am not talking about solo and having to play with other players like the Sparrow Racing. I am talking about " solo " as in you are by
yourself!
