Destiny: "Set To Joinable" Will Not Stay Enabled

I've been having serious trouble doing co-op on Destiny on one of my Xbox One consoles. A fellow player figured out how to set the game to let others join you in co-op but the setting will not stay enabled, even during gameplay. I have to keep going out
to my profile and changing it back to "set to joinable" over and over.

Is there not a way to get this setting to stay!? It really messes with gameplay. The 360 and the PS apparently have this functionality build into the game and can change it on their Roster screen. The Xbox One does not have this even though it's the same
game!

Here's the steps I've been following to enable co-op to be joinable, based on the other players instructions:

Launch Destiny and get to where you are in orbit, hit your home button and go to your Friends app, then scroll to your Profile, move over to the picture of Destiny on the right side, hit a, then scroll down and "set to joinable".

If you don't do that, at least on my console, it's set to invite only and no one will be able to join you.

Is there a way to change this setting so joining stays enabled?

Usually this means that your friend does not have their game set to joinable, have them follow these instructions to change that:

1.) Hit the home button on your controller

2.) Go to your friends app

3.) Go to "My Profile" on the left hand side

4.) On the right hand side you will see Destiny, click on it

5.) The third option down says "Requires Invites" click on that and it will say "Set to Joinable"

Im having the EXACT SAME PROBLEM someone please help. I can't play with any friends and i miss out on lots of raids and different things cuz my xbox won't let me do any *** *** so plz help. and btw BUNGIE FIX YOUR GAME!!!
