    Destiny server disconnects


    About once an hour my Xbox loses Destiny servers all together. I show still logged into Xbox live, can start other games and play, can still communicate with friends online, but I get dumped from Destiny servers in the middle of gaming randomly once an hour
    or so... I can't log back in until I start a different game and then go back to the Destiny game.... I've tried all the standard trouble shooting, with no errors becoming apparent..... anyone else have this issue or suggestions?? I'm starting to think it's
    either my xbox or the server

    So are you complaining about the Xbox One or the EA servers that are disconnecting you?

    Every game I play online or if I'm just in a group chat it will drop me out of chat for 5 secs or so then join me back in

    Are you using wifi? Usually they give you a code like baboon, beetle or something like that if you go to bungie.net and search the code it should tell you.

    Have you checked the Destiny 2 forums to see if this is an issue that others are experiencing? Might be the Destiny 2 servers are disconnecting.

    What Router should I buy for the Xbox One?

    The BT homehubs 4's and 5's are the worst routers ever created. Disconnections in Destiny are extremely common in them even if there are no server problems. They seem to have a problem with activision games on xbox one, ps3 and ps4. So upgrading to a decent
    router may well fix the OPs problems with Destiny as I've seen a post a while ago on BTs own forums where someone said they fixed destiny disconnections by buying a new router.
