Destiny: ROI doesn't respect "home Xbox" license.

In the past, when you purchased digital content for Xbox it was available for all users on your home Xbox. You essentially received 2 licenses when purchasing, one for the "home Xbox One" that anyone could use and one for your account which you could use
on any Xbox One you logged into. I

It appears that Destiny: Rise of Iron specifically breaks this rule and only provides access to the singular gamertag which purchased the content. The main Destiny game, the first 2 DLC and the Taken King seem to work just fine for all members in my family
(myself and 2 sons) however Rise of Iron does not.

Is this intentional?

If so, why was this not announced? If I knew that I would have to purchase 3x ROI in order for myself and my 2 sons to play on our single home Xbox, I would not have purchased at all. I feel that it is very deceptive to change the licensing policy and not
announce it.

lol but Companies don't usually "care" about anyone. It's about whether a License is available for any Media Content in a given Country. There are many Features and Games that are not available in every Country, you simply deal
with it.

 

Taken King DLC not working with free trial but ROI is?

I accidentally grabbed the free trial of destiny which has made ROI content playable WITHOUT the disc since I don't own the year one destiny license digitally. I do own the taken King and all expansions but ONLY rise of iron and year one content can be played
on the free trial version. I would like to not have to use the disc and pay for an upgrade but after contacting m$ that idea is screwed. They want me to buy it all over again! $30 ttk plusn$30 ROI .why is my dlc license of TTK HOW TDB not registering with
the free trial but ROI does? I see that bungie worships the dollar and hates poor people but give me a break. call me lazy but I often just log onto to destiny shortly for a quickee . What a mess. Any help or direction appreciated.

 

People were having a similar issue with the previous content, The Taken King. Bungie might address the this like they did with TTK but only time will tell.

If you go in to My Games and Apps, go on to Destiny, click start and manage game, they've left a 10mb update along with any preorder bonuses in there. So you need to install all of the relevant parts, reload the game and its ready to go

Thanks! That fixed it. Now everyone can play ROI on our Xbox One.

There were actually quite a few items in there, some were from Taken King (even though that expansion was already available to everyone) that I had available to install.
