Destiny rant

Personally, i think it's a great game. Didn't at first cuz the loot system was making me butt hurt, but things took a turn for the better finally. My only real issue is with the PVP, but i attribute my distaste for it to my lack of skill. I seem to come
up against some phenominal players. Much respect to them. Bungie created a great new game here.

 

Hi I loaded the game from my console and got thru first level and then to the tower - then gives me instruction to go into orbit which i do then says let director choose next destination - the only thing i get offered is earth and tower - now sure what
i am doing wrong. Appreciate any help thanks

 

you have to do the first earth mission before your ship can jump to any place else, click on earth and the missions will come up

 

Your not doing anything wrong. The game is very limited in the beginning

 

I actually quite enjoyed the game up until recently. Despite the negative reaction on the story, I found it suitable and the gameplay very exciting. I'm also a big Borderlands fan so any kind of shooter with little RPG elements are right up my alley, and
I love leveling up my character. Then came the last few days after hitting the initial level 20 cap. It took a little while to figure out the whole Light thing, but once I started getting some of the armor from strike playlists I was pretty happy.

The only real issue I've had with the game is the forcing of the Crucible. I ended up getting super excited after receiving a bounty that turned into a quest for my first legendary weapon. I spent a few hours going and doing the specified strikes, then the
killing of so many hundreds of different enemies, and then finally it tells me I have to do so much damage in the crucible. I figured no big deal, except that I get five points for each kill I make with a specific weapon and lose two each time I die, requiring
at the very least an above 0.40 K/D ratio. Unfortunately, I don't play competitive multiplayer on ANY game except Titanfall, and average 0.25 in the Crucible, which means after several hours of gameplay I ended up having to abandon the quest at the last minute.

 

@Granslsland, hey that's not as bad as me at a k.d of 0.14 and all the hate messages that come with it, I hate the way you have to play PvP for the exotic bounty. So don't feel bad. ^_^

 

I couldn't agree more with this rant!

I feel duped by this game... not worth the $60 and I'm definitely not spending any more $ on DLC until they make the initial game what they promised and fix the major issues. How can I even get into the game to get hooked if I can barely play before I get
booted? Or can't party with more than 3 people? Or can barely party with anyone because of the server issues and we all get booted from the party anyways?

I'm so annoyed by this. It could be SO awesome, I had hoped it would be. Yet another example of pushing a game to be released when it isn't anywhere near ready.

 

this game is a tedious pile of grinding crapola.need 1 item to level up your gun? good luck,hope you get it in a random drop.hell it might take a week to get a few peices to level up stuff.same strikes,over,over,and over.how many million $ budget did bungie
have for this game? lol.

 

Only complaint is how *** the multiplayer is. Play by myself and shotgun shots will hardly damage shields, it'll take 6 thorn shots to kill a person, i get killed around a corner constantly. I play with a group people die when i shoot them, it takes the
normal 3 shots to kill someone with thorn, and i dont get killed around corners. The weapons are so unbalanced too i shoot a guy with a fusion rifle and he loses his shield he shoots me from the same distance and instantly kills me. The multiplayer is a joke
compared for the studio that made Halo 2 and 3's multiplayer.
