Destiny rant

Okay here is why destiny is failing in my book.

1: the loot system is just RANDOM as hell. You will see one guy get 12 epic drops while others get none. LOL

2: no flying units. HAHAH, seriously what genius over and Bungie decided that with allllll the universal technology the VEX or anyone else couldn't figure out how to make any sort of flying unit. We have units that hover 1-2 feet off the ground. WOW HOW DO
THEY DO IT!? We will prolly never know!

3: LAGG, LAGG, oh no! MORE LAG! guess what this part is about. LAAAAG. While I don't usually lag it seems like just about everyone else does. In pvp this gives an advantage to one player or another and ruins PVP completely. Any gamer honest about his abilities
can tell when they have the advantage and a good player will abuse the hell out of it. Oh and the issue between party chat and destiny that causes the party crash is just more lag issues caused by destiny.

4: In every single boss fight I have found (usually within 30 seconds) the sweet spot. This is where you can stand and the boss can not hit you. ( or anyone in most cases) it destroys the game and bores me out of my mind.

5: who blew up my bubble! Why is my indestructible VOID SHIELD so easily destructed. That is a serious question tho, I don't understand it AT ALL. IMO a players special is a big part of PVP. The defender class just gets HOSED. All other specials can
go into the bubble and kill everyone. You would think a DEFENSIVE special would protect you from an OFFENSIVE one. Someone with a melee special who tries to swing on you BEFORE they are inside the bubble should just bounce off. A ranged special should also
bounce off. Maybe there is some mechanic I am missing but I doubt it.

MMO? REALLY!? ... I mean REALLY?! we are pretending this is an MMO? Alright I am game. But lets just SAY it is an MMO, Where is the matchmaking other than PVP? I should be able to QUE for things like every other MMO . If I want to do a level 22 raid, QUE for
level 22 raid. when 3 people are qued that is a fireteam(launch them to orbit) This isn't just an MMO system either. Any FPSMO has a system to find a group. you just que for whatever gametype you want and BAM like some sort of dark magic you are put into a
match with a group. (sure that works for crucible but why not every aspect?)

These are not HUGE issues , more of ....... WHAT HAPPENED BUNGIE? type of things. This game feels so unfinished that it's hard to play. Things like "weapon parts are used for upgrading are repairing" are clear signs that bungie decided to cut several corners
in the game. Kind of sucks that they spend this much time and money on a game and then decided to go BACKWARDS in the world of gaming.

I am done. I do love this game tho haha, It really is halo with new features. There was just so much more they could have added and made this game groundbreaking and not another impersonator.

Spot on Destiny Article

Can this be the last Destiny review/article/rant posted? There really does not need to be a new thread of someone giving an opinion every day.

I will say that your rant oo is in the top 10 of rants. It is justified, reasonable and to the point. My kind of rant.

 

Those issues and more. I can hardly believe I traded this in already.

 

The only thing I will comment to is that Bungie themselves never used the term "MMO". They said shared world shooter. Only the players have been calling it an MMO.

 

I am amazed at how many complaints I see about this game, and how few of them I actually share.

 

I'm more shocked by people who actually enjoy the whole process of farming for better gear/loot. Standing in front of a cave and shooting wave after wave of enemies for hours on end just isn't very fun. Again, this is just my opinion, and if you find entertainment
in that... more power to ya.

 

They called the game a "social shooter" yet have made it so difficult to be social. But honestly the most egregious thing to me is the lack of loot drops after killing a major boss. No chests, no random loot. You just spent an hour pumping rounds into an
oversized bullet sponge and they leave you nothing, nothing! I get more out of thralls! I have faith that bungie will fix issues. I just expected more from them at launch. I'm sure they had to cut so much because it would have given them a 2016 release and
the pressure from corporate to start getting a return on investment was probably pretty stout.

 

Love the game but I wish they would have skipped last gen to focus more on making Destiny a true next gen experience. Last night I did the Strike in the Summoning Pit and after that huge monster broke free the chains stayed in place as if he was still there.
I literally just sat there and laughed for a bit lol.

 

I share none of the same complaints and personally Destiny exceeded my expectations. This whole MMO stuff is just misinformation because Bungie never called it an MMO. A little bit of research would've helped many people. Lag? Haven't experienced any or
had any disconnects.

My only complaint with the game is the lack public/proximity chat, without a chat system in place it makes the Tower feel very dead even though there are people running around.

The game has only been out a couple weeks and Bungie will make changes. Not to mention the free monthly content and massive expansions on the horizon, this game will have a great future.

 

The game does nothing groundbreaking or exceptional. I can just go play Halo/Borderlands/Oblivion. PvP is terrible as is the story, and the voice acting. Last but not least it looks way better on the PS4. I had high expectations and they were not met. Not
even close.

 

I am not too impressed by this game BUT anyone who likes Halo has no right IMO to hate on this game. After the first Halo the sires is crap.

 

THA 1 Behind YA umm i'm sure it does on ps4 but not by much....plus its only been out 13 days give it time story is fine why does it matter what voice acting is like...like really come on now....it's only going to get better.....and Lord Dirt that's your
opinion man don't mean you are right...

 

It's only going to get better is your defense? There are so many things wrong with that statement haha.

The fact that people have their own complaints but do not share the same ones actually makes me want to sell my console.

 

no i just know it will..and its not because of the console it's the game...
