Destiny Raids

The main thing i hate about raids/raiding etc is how unbalancing it becomes to the game, it drives the gap between lv 20's and lv 20 raiders etc it was terrible in wow, if you didnt raid or spend your life farming the arena you were massively outclassed
to the point your skill meant nothing.

I remember fighting an arena gear clad warrior, doing 2 dmg with a crit is soul crushing then a receiving a 15k+ crit (or waaaaay more in some cases) in return is just like yeh fk this ***.

So i guess if the loot is fairly distributed and has good alternatives available with grinding on your own with less friends outside the raid then fair enough i dont think it would be a problem if it wasnt required strictly for top gear etc (tho this is
me fully assuming you'll get superior drops in raids as opposed to a random encounter or strikes etc)

I can see what people are saying about being social, but you shouldn't be forced to be that social, should always be a choice, i am a quiet person i dont chat online much unless i know the people and i dont want to join a clan because they eventually turn
into labored jobs, oh he's done 2 more raids than you so he gets uber lewt, you just feel like you just wasted 2 hours lolz try again tomorrow. Eventually it turns into bitter arguments, people falling out and guilds breaking apart etc, the one i was in only
survived because it was a gaming community but even then it split in half at one point because of peoples bickering over loot/raid spots etc but its never been my cup of tea, i am that annoying dude who goes for a smoke half hour into the instance and has
you waiting for 5 mins thumb twiddling lmao

 

^^ Can people bicker over loot in Destiny? I mean don't we all see our own loot drops? Regardless if you played 1 raid or 5, what you see on the ground is yours right.

If you don't want to join a clan then try to simply make a thread in the Destiny forums about it. Someone made a "Looking for friends..." recently and I added him. I'm sure there will be many more with no strings attached lol.

It sucks for some. Luckily I will be playing with the same 5 people I have been playing Titanfall every night with.

 

Regarding raids, if you want to do 1 and need players, don't forget about me!

I can see the quit and return function being a giant cluster....If one person can't make it back to finish up at a later time before weeks end, everyone just lost the opportunity to finish and get some potentially good loot. That's gonna go over like a lead
balloon.

@GG.....I understand the humor but trying to do an instance over multiple days sounds great on paper, but in reality it probably isn't.

Things come up in this weird idea of "life outside of gaming".

With my past MMO experiences, trying to schedule a one hour ten man run with a guild of 100 people would often be a task in its own right.

For those that have never experienced a long instance, such as what Destiny is going to appear to have, it takes a toll on newbies. Constant dying, trying to figure out a strategy, etc, etc.

Some people will just say screw it and not want to mess with doing them. Then you find yourself a man or two short and you are ***, because there is no pick up system in the game. Been there, done that many times over.

 

In my opinion, this will work out fine as long as there is an option to join-on-the-fly. If people are locked out of the session once it starts, there are a plethora of problems that can result. Someone gets dropped from Live due to a network error, and
you're ***. I think insertion points are a great step, though.

 

im looking for alot of people to go on raids with every tusedays and wensdays if anyone wants a raiding partner just send me a friend request and/or send me a game invite to go raiding

 

Randoms vs friends is a serious online MP dilemma developers are faced with now. They have to come up with creative solutions to it, like minimizing comms, enabling 'join in progress' because of the quitters and disabling friendly fire. This is the future
of online gaming. This is what scares me about MCC. My old account had lots of friends - that I never played with anyway. This account has very few. Randoms are my only option.
