It's not my clan it's yours, I just happened to reserve the name before it went

We have several admins from the forums covering various time zones to hopefully organise times for their areas Destiny Raids :)

everyone should be able to post in forum and on the wall, and when you join the group you can choose to or not to join the clan once accepted.

I would post of the bungie forum, but the bungie site is hard work and tbh I can't be bothered figuring it out, when most people are on here anyway.

yeah, TBH it needs work as a forum, it's not obvious where to post inline to a thread, so your replies get hidden.

What bothers me is this whole social aspect they keep pushing, then they announce that a good chunk of their end game is for those in your inner circle. So, you can be social, just as long as it's with people you already know? How are you supposed to meet
people, if you're forced to interact with players you already are friends with?

  6. I read about this and I have seen a lot of "join a clan" or "get friends". I have friends and have no desire to join a clan. I am happy for Bungie to do this how they want but I will not be buying it as much as I was looking forward to it for so long.
I had no expectation of the game but unless enough family/friends want to play to make it worth it I will have to pass.

I have also seen arguments about playing with random players. That can be bad but it can also lead to meeting some nice people. Could just make it so that if you have a full team of 6 you go in. Otherwise you can be placed with others. That eliminates
the playing with random players issue that some want to avoid because you have that option to avoid it by joining with a full team. By not allowing people to join randomly you possibly eliminate a lot of players.

I also read something about needing the full team to keep playing but not sure if that is true. IF that is the case I could see that being an issue for me as well. It would depend on how long these things were. Being to long would possibly create issues
if someone had to leave and we could not get someone else in. I know on other games we would have teams playing and sometime would leave and then other friends would join. But sometimes we played with less players because nobody was available to take there
    place.

I did have fun with Destiny though. And just doing co-op would be fun. Just depends on how long and robust that part of the content is.

I am sure people will meet new friends and make some on their way to lvl 20 after all your going to have to match make all those strikes coz you have no friends.

    Destiny Raids :p

All raids are similar to this model, if somebody leaves in the middle, you often get stuck trying to get the right build player to finish the raid, which essentially boosts somebody to the end with no input from them. I certainly won't be doing that for
a random, but a clan member certainly Destiny Raids :)

Just to be clear, I have friends.

As some have pointed out, there are many factors that come into play that really make this idea seem like a bad one.

    1. Not all of my friends own an Xbox One

    2. Not all of my friends will be playing Destiny

    3. Most of my friends have jobs, families, etc. that would make syncing up playtime a difficulty.

You can still get a group together, just wait outside the instance and invite people Destiny Raids :)

If it's anything like the Strikes, there won't be an instance to wait outside of.

I'm sure that I will make a handful of new Guardian friends through strikes and what not, but still, it is a huge risk (which they freely acknowledge) and one I hope they consider changing in the long run.

    1. Not all of my friends own an Xbox One

    2. Not all of my friends will be playing Destiny

I think those who are so easily dismissing the cons of 'friends only raids' aren't giving these factors the merit they deserve. Although I do have to say that eventually the number
of friends who don't have an X1 being a prominent factor will diminish.

I would like to point out something that a lot of people may not have thought about yet. It'll be easy (relatively) to get a group of friends, or even find a group willing to 'friend
up' for raids in the beginning... but what happens when the 'Destiny newness' wears off?

Any of the Halo games [except CE obviously] had tons of people online when they first released. I can remember having 2 and often 3 full lobbies of friends all playing Halo (2,
3, Reach, 4) just after they released. But... not even a few short months after those games released, those lobby numbers would slowly fall off. Generally, even before the 1 year mark, we would often consider ourselves lucky to get a 4 person slayer match
to hold together for more than a few games. It's a natural progression.

How easy will it be to put a raid together after TMCC is released? Of course, this will be a question I'll have to ask others... as I won't have any personal knowledge of that
answer for awhile afterward. And that's only a couple short months after Destiny releases...

i dont' think enough of my friends will have it and even then there's the fact that those friends might have others they want to play with etc. a strange choice for sure. one that could be unique and brilliant but at the same time one that could be pretty
    stupid.

i don't like the fact that we'll have to wait until level 20 .. will everyone have to be level 20? that will create an even bigger problem too.

There are sites like Trueachievements.com where you can host a gaming session. You can create your own by setting the time and date to whatever you like or join another persons session. I've met some cool people by joining sessions. Sometimes there might
be a no-show but people are willing to be back-ups in that case. Everyone's TA.com page has a link straight to their xbox profile page, where you can add them as as friend.

Guerrero, I understand. "Clans" sounds so... Can't say the word here but I'm not too fond of the idea either but as long as the clan doesn't have stupid requirements I'm good. I just look at it as a way to extend my friend list for a certain game.
