Destiny Problems

Ok I have the original Destiny on disc. My xbox *** up that disc. It was fine when I downloaded all the expansions. It was ok when I purchased and downloaded The Taken King. Can I play The Taken King without the disc? It isn't listed in my games.

You would need the disc or the Games on Demand version of a game in order to play any DLC for it. Sorry.

If you digitally bought only the Add On (like this here), it says in the description text "REQUIRES DESTINY, SOLD
SEPARATELY."

So you WILL need the original Destiny Disc in the drive.

However, depending on how (as you say it) "***" the disc is, you can try the following:

Try to install the disc to your console. If that is not possible, because the disc is too damaged, try borrowing a Destiny disc from a friend, and install the game from that disc.

Then insert your "***" disc and hope that the copy protection sectors on the disc are still intact, and the console is able to recognize the disc.

If it does, then just play.

If the disc is damaged beyond recognition, you will have to contact Activision support for a replacement disc (usually involves a shipping and handling fee).

Or depending on the type of damage to the disc, try to find a video rental store or a store that sells used games, and ask them if they have a disc polishing machine.

Have them polish the disc, and hope for the best.

 

Thanks for the replies. Somehow the disc got off center in the drive and it has round circles on it from the center piece digging into the disc.
