Destiny price difference US - UK

Looks like the British are being stitched up again as Destiny for the 360 is $44.99 in the US which =28.9204 GBP yet for us it is £37.49, over £10 different and more expensive than the US.

I think Microsoft needs to sort the balance out here as I am sure this isn't the only game with this issue.

XBOX One price inequality

There really isn't that much difference in price between the US and EU. The difference in the UK and Germany is less than $40.

The tax difference however is huge (and the US does not include tax in purchase price.) I think the UK tax rate is something like 20% and Germany is 19%. The EU (for some reason) likes to include taxes in the listed price. If you really want to compare
US prices to European prices, take out the VAT.

The price should be thought of as independent of taxes (after all, that is actually how much MSFT/stores are receiving for the Xbox One).

 

A free game for the XBOX ONE console in the US

Part of the price difference is that the UK price includes tax, while the US price doesn't as I believe this is added at the checkout. Still taking that into account, the price difference between the territories is a lot more than I expected.

 

Are you sure is it not just the X ONE version or the digital version, anyways the American dollar weighs more than the British pound, last time I went to London all businesses were bankrupt.

 

Just don't buy it. I mean seriously...Destiny is crap. I'd wait a little longer until all the DLC is out, and Bungie has decided on how nerfed all the OP stuff they set up is gonna get.

 

Definitely the 360 version and you get more dollar for your pound, also London never actually went into a recession like the rest of the country.

 

Remember that the U.S. prices don't have tax added but the U.K. prices do.

Once you add tax to the U.S. price there isn't that bigger difference

 

Destiny for 360 is just under £30 on Amazon & exactly £30 in Asda.
