Destiny or Halo: MCC?

(Please keep in mind that I probably won't be able to get both right away.)

Alright so.. I can't decide ._.... I really like Destiny but at the same time I really wanna play the Halo 5 beta. And It's 4 games in one. I've never played a Halo game in my life, so all 4 games will be a new experience for me. I'm not gonna lie.. the
more I watch vids on the Destiny Alpha, the more I lose interest in it. Where as it's vice versa for Halo: MCC. I don't really like the MMO part of Destiny. I left PC gaming for a reason... But at the same time, I'm still kinda skeptical about Halo. Or atleast
Halo 4. I really like the special powers/abilities of destiny and how you can have different classes and things like that. As well as customizing your character. But the Halo 5 beta trailer..... "1080p.. 60fps on dedicated servers" really opened my eyes. Not
sure what I should do.

I vote for Destiny.

Halo MCC will fun but if I had to pick one, a beta (for a set period of time) could not sway me.

 

Well you could always try the Destiny beta when it begins later this month. Personally I think the game has a lot of potential for GOTY however if you haven't ever played the Halo games the collection is a very good deal for your money (It is regardless).
Seeing as Sony is in bed with Bungie and the exclusive content from launch and the expansions last until fall 2015, it would probably be more worthwhile to pick up the MC collection.

 

Destiny has not yet caught my interest, but I'm very excited for Halo: MCC. Four games for the price of one, plus the beta and also the Halo TV series (or whatever it's called).

 

I'm really excited for halo mcc. Destiny looks good too but I'm getting halo, alien isolation and probably batman.

Also The digital series Is Halo nightfall.

 

I have no interest in a bunch of games I've already played. So I'm going with Destiny

are going to require Live Gold.

I guess you could buy Gold, but a year of Gold plus the base Destiny version is going to cost $100-$120. A week or month of Gold plus the Master Chief Collection is cheaper, and it may even include a trial Live Gold card that would cover the beta test period.
Given the money angle, I would say the Master Chief Collection is your only option.

 

Unless the O.P. is on someones "Home" console that has Gold.

Halo... you already made the choice.

 

If you never played halo, I'd suggest getting the MCC if you can only get one of those games

 

You really can't go wrong with the Master Chief Collection, especially if the MMO elements of Destiny don't necessarily thrill you.

 

Assuming you have a 360 or PS3, play the Destiny beta. If you like what you see, get Destiny.

I would be surprised if there weren't sales that lowered the base price of either/both games to $40 during the holidays, so there's that angle as well.

It's hard to fathom someone buying a $400 or $500 console kit and not having the money for two games. If things are that tight, don't buy a new console until Halo 5 launches in 2015. Enjoy Destiny on the previous generation.
