Destiny not registering as "owned" - have physical disc in tray.

Trying to launch Destiny, but as it tries to launch the promt comes up to either insert the disc or buy the game. This started happening after the Dashboard update.

Game disc it not stratched, played the game after the Dashboard update fine. Ive already restarted the Xbox multiple times and still the same result. Ive tried it with other games and they all work fine.

Help?

This made me lol... you do realize, of course, that by using the disc tray as a cup holder, you're defeating one of the main advantages of going all digital? I mean now our lazy *$$es will have to get up and go to the disc tray to get our drink anyway. X0

Maybe if we rallied hard enough we could get them to have the disc tray eject with enough force to toss a plug-n-play charger at us?

Pre-Order credit

Did you preorder digitally or as a physical disc from microsoftstore.com? For the 15,000 credits, you would have had to preorder as a physical disc.

Preorders are not eligible for VIP.

I pre-ordered the actual disc from the microsoft store.

If you own a physical version of the game and said game is on the
BC list, you should be able to play it. You insert the disc into the tray and download the game from the disc. The disc will need to remain in the tray to order to play, only digital download games from the marketplace do not require you to have a physical
copy.

Game on disc formats will not appear on your collection. Only digital games will show as you own those licenses. Physical games are not registered on that list.

This is normal on every console. You always need the disc to play when you have the physical copy... There is no fault on any console with that. The disc in the tray is needed as a safety against piracy.

How will I know if my old 360 is affected, I didn't register it on here so MS don't even know I own a 360. The xbox plays games when it wants to, I have to keep opening and closing the disc tray to get games to run.
