Destiny... Not in Japan

And anyone in Japan may feel left out...... I'm in Canada... so this is totally irrelevant....

 

Thats a tuff post to respond to lol. I respect your opinions but I don't think I can respond without getting this thread locked. Somebody will flag it who can't handle it like always so theres no use typing a long response that will get deleted.

I will just respond on the one point we agree on. If the Beta pricing on PS Now that I see are the actuall prices PS Now will fail. The prices are a rip off and I wouldn't pay them.

But it's still beta and I think they will ajust them. I want unlimited stream not pay per title.

 

Whatever,most of gamers will play Destiny on last gen systems,anyway.

 

bstn what are the prices may i ask? as for japan we all know the kind of games they like. iv just seen destiny warrior is coming to xb1 in Japan and more exclusives for them. as for the bundle they are selling you say it is a bad bundle and i agree i hate
kinect sports but Japan gamers may like it

 

I also see Moto GP14 is out today but only for ps4,ps3 and 360 i wonder if and how much sony splashed cash at them for that but IMO its a stupid exclusive game to make exclusive because moto gp isnt a big game

 

I suppose if Japanese Xbox One owners really wants to play Destiny they could just import it since the console is region-free after all. No big deal really.

The Halo series didn't help Microsoft crack the Japanese market. Why would Halo writ large help Activision?

The Japanese may buy a game on a console they already own (PS3, PS4). Destiny on Xbox One wouldn't be a system mover.

 

@Ghostz it depends on the game but there are 4 hour rentals for 5$. 90 days for 30$ there all over the place. I just thought they where going the Netflix route with a unlimited stream pay per month deal. MotoGP14 i didnt' even know about that might have
to pick that up.

@Icestorm I understand that Halo didn't do much for the 360 but the 360 floped in Japan. I would like to think they are going in with a different approach to make the X1 successful.

There are not many AAA games available so to have one extra sounds like a good idea to me. People like choices in games. Especially if you see a game releasing on your other option and your about to put down a chunk of money on a new console.

 

Western AAA games aren't going to overcome NIH. There are several Japanese-only titles coming to Xbox One during its launch in Japan.

 

If the western games are not going to sell well there in trouble. This is there day one edition

Call of Duty Ghost at launch and Titanfall in there bundle looks like those western fps are good enough but not Destiny...

 

Just to give you an idea on two popular franchises :

Call of Duty : Ghost ,sold 200,000 units the first week,in Japan.

Battlefied 4 ,sold 133,000 units.

And these sales are from last gen systems.

Not a big FPS market.

 

What are the actual Japanese games? Are they out yet?

 

Bring some JRPG love to the western!! I'm tired of all these RPG shooters, well bored of shooters in general, but I will still take Mass Effect
