Destiny, No pause?

Hey all. What Were devs thinking, not having a pause game option! This is way beyond my comprehension. I think this lack of implementation in modern games is unforgivable. Online games only? This is why I wont buy new elderscrolls, skyrim game. This sux,
because I like to play with myself. If you know what I mean,lol.

I like to have a break from time to time, you know, refreshment break, ect....

Is this something that could possibly be patched later on?

Next question.. How do you save your current progress to last checkpoint? Or do I have to finish each mission?

Last night the connection dropped out (again) near the end of a mission, which, on my return, bought me back to the launch screen to start again!

No matchmaking in Destiny!

Also, the benefit of the Destiny's current matchmaking system is that the players are already there so there is a good chance that they will stick around for the entire mission.

Have to ask around runs into problems with an individuals schedule and what not.

No matchmaking in Destiny!

They could but they won't. It's a design decision to not add matchmaking to raids. I recall reading something like that when Destiny was close to launching.

 

There has never been a pause option in MMO style games, the whole idea is to give you a living, persistent world that continues on even when your making a sandwich.

Missions have checkpoints that auto save so you can resume them. Just go back to orbit, pick mission and you'll see options to "resume" or "restart"

 

I hope you mean "by myself"...if it really was meant to be "with yourself", I could see why you want a pause function. Lol.
