Destiny Multiplayer

Can someone explain to me what is going on....I'm getting one shot killed repeatedly while it takes me several shots to the chest/head to kill anyone.

I thought there was no 'advantage' in MP. It seems like certain players have better weapons.

One level 14 specifically was evaporating me over and over with a gun that looked like a fire shotgun.

SMGs are weak, single shot **** rifles are too slow and seemingly weak. Grenades and special moves are OP.

Destiny Questions

There is nothing massively multiplayer in Destiny....Not a MMO.

 

Three consoles, three XBL accounts, three game copies

I've gotten varying answers from MS Chat sessions. Looking for clarification.

Multiple gamers in my family.

Currently have two Xbox's, two XBLive accounts, and two copies of Destiny 2.

I had previously been advised that Home sharing won't work for Destiny 2 online multiplayer (hence the second XBL account and second copy of Destiny 2).

Before I buy a third console, third XBL acct, and third copy of Destiny 2, I want to know if this really is the correct way to set up three consoles for online multiplayer of Destiny 2? Is there any kind of family package or multiple console discount for such?

The intent is to have players on all three consoles, playing together in Destiny 2 multiplayer.

the MP def has a high learning curve I suggest you go back to the campaign and play that for a while till you acquire better gear as everything you find buy from the campaign world gets taken into multiplayer as well. Do as many bounties as you can and gather
as much glimmer as possible so that you can afford the better gear. Good luck.

 

So armor and weapons can give you a distinct advantage in MP?

I did okay for a few matches but vehicles and special abilities are way OP. It's fun but it isn't what I was hoping for. I really dislike the 'halo hop'.

 

I don't know if it will give a huge advantage as I don't exactly know how they have their matchmaking code working but all my gear I play with in campaign is the same as MP and so far it's been decent I haven't run into any players that are more then 2 or
3 levels higher then myself.................... Yeaaaaaa that lift crap kinda sucks I can't tell you how many times ive killed myself already due to that crap lol.

 

I was in a match this morning with a player who was Level 15, and using some higher level weapons. Considering that gear you find gives you more armor as well as boosts to cooldowns, then you bet it will be an advantage. The end goal for crucible should
be level 20, at which point you get access to same-tier equipment. Personally, I'm spending a load of time in the co-op just looting for stuff before I venture too far into MP.

 

Memory is kind of foggy but I think damage is normalized during regular multiplayer matches but any bonuses like reduced grenade cool down are still in effect. So it is only the damage and armor number that don't matter in the Crucible, having good gear
is still important. I think that is how it works, can't remember 100%.
