Destiny: Microsoft vs. Sony

Of course the PS4 content is going to be prioritised. Bungie want to create a new mass following on a new platform. The last game Bungie released on a Sony platform was Oni. We've been getting Bungie love since Halo: Combat Evolved.

 

Yea as long as the DLC is timed I have no issues with developers doing this. I just wanted to make sure it was timed. When developers start gating DLC on multiplatform games to one console that's when players have an start to have an issue.

 

I understand your stress but you have to know that Bungie is now indepedent they don't have ropes strapped around their necks from Microsoft anymore, it's like how you said they both have conflicts. They are both big and rich companies their playing politics
now and this Bungie's message of " Should of treated us better/ karmas a *** aint it?" Atleast that is how see it.

Everyone will get everything bungie knows it still has xbox fans and activision knows about making money, relax, jeez i hope you like the game, could be its gonna be boring, could be its gonna tank, prolly not but that would really suck for some

 

The exclusives are timed exclusives

 

it's almost never permanently exclusive when it comes to multiplatform games. developers don't like losing money.

 

But when the timed exclusivity is a year....it does make a difference. At that point you might as well say its permenate...lol.

 

It's unfortunate when one platform gets exclusive DLC over the other but it's not the end of the world.

Xbox gets COD timed exclusivity and ps4 gets Destiny although in this case ps4 gets the better deal as i've been playing the Beta on ps4 and Destiny is 1000 times better than COD.

Isn't it only the day one DLC that is exclusive for a year though?

In any case i'm guessing this DLC will be low level gear that will be useless once you've levelled up some.

Anyway it's not stopping me from getting the game on Xbox one even though I also own a ps4.

 

the dlc could be timed up to a year by the looks of things, the armor and weapons might need a there stats tweaked by the time they come to the xbox, or else it will just be a ship skin a strike mission, and a multiplayer map.

 

@xchemistx, if that is all Sony is getting as far as exclusive content, then I'm entirely fine with it. Basically just 2 exclusive maps and some exclusive gear. It's not a huge loss. I was under the impression that Sony was going to be getting whole expansion
packs early. Expansion packs being comparable in size to add-on content to say Fallout: Vegas or Skyrim.

 

Yea I'm over it now Bungie has stated on multiple occasions now that they aren't discriminating against Xbox owners.

 

Timed exclusives only and, to be honest, the only bit I would even begin to care about is the mission. 2 guns, an armor set for each class and 3 different skins for a ship type? Meh, don't really care...

I find the dashboard and digital experience and the controller better on the XB1. If there's ever a game to buy digitally, it's one you plan on coming back to over and over for a long period. Add that XBL is a more stable network and I'll take a slightly
more jagged shadow edge (or whatever the supposed lesser graphics end up being by nit picky accounts).

I have both and have played both betas. The usability on XB1 wins for me...

 

The beta was a blast on xbox one! Cant wait to play the full version. Officialy a fan!

 

Bungie knows they dont have the fanbase on ps so there ya go, thats about it, as for xbl having a better network, not lately, hope they get it worked out
