Destiny is stuck on changing Icon

I was able to play destiny quite a bit once the Christmas Day outages had been restored. Now for the last two days Destiny will not advance past the screen with the changing icon. I am writing this as I have seen instructions to create a new thread if the
destiny game still is not working.

I feel we should have an option to correct the game icon if it's wrong. Like if you rented (from a redbox or what have you), let's say injustice 2, and you liked it. But, you just didn't know when you'd buy it. You buy it, but you wanted the Deluxe Edition.
Currently, you can't change the games regular edition icon to the stores deluxe edition. Consistency is important to icons.

Can you please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down? That should fix the issue with the game not loading.

Well after the forum change we lost soooooooooooooo many users. I think the regulars who stuck around should get an icon similar to the founding member.

When that happens, best thing to do is change your icon to something else entirely. What you may not deem as "Bad," the system will (Which is a tad bit ridiculous because I've had icons face the same thing you're having more times than not) which is why
the whole "We need to verify your profile picture situation" is happening.

Tl;dr: You might as well change your icon to something different because you're gonna be stuck there forever.

Hello Eric,

Thanks for coming to the forums. When you say that you have tried everything, can you post what you have tried. Also, what is the brand of the controllers and headset? Had this issue yesterday, I updated the controller even though there wasn't an update
with the headset plugged in. If you are referring to the home screen icon in top right, that is not a mute icon. It represents that a mic is not connected. So when plugging it into the controller it isn't being detected.
