    Destiny Installed On Xbox One - Not Recognized As Installed Or Own Game


    I inserted my owned Destiny Owned disc into the Xbox One. It told me that if I owned the game, to please insert the disc. I have owned the game since day one announcement. I have played it many times. I have downloaded the DCL and I could see it in manage
    game. I tried multiple times to access and play the game, but kept on getting the same message.

    I ultimately did a soft reset using the on the Xbox Guide button and then the game started to play.

    My game share wont work with any dlc’s

    All credit to Effective-Strategy-5 from Reddit:

    On the acct that doesn't work (not the owner acct), go to games & apps, select destiny 2, start for manage game and add-ons, select Destiny with [A], then click manage installation on [drive], scroll down and make sure all the DLC's are checkmarked as installed. Check the one's that are not (in my own issue Beyond Light, the pre-order bonuses, & Shadowkeep were not "installed") and once they install you should be good to go.

    Just Curious..

    You can install the games to the HDD then if the game is damaged you can still play it. (as long as the xbox is able to recognize you own the disc)

    I had this problem also. I had to hard reboot my xbox after installing data pack one for it to recognize that I owned the physical disk.

    Is it possible that your Xbox One is no longer recognizing your external hard drive. If your games are installed on that drive, then that would be why they are now in the ready to install section.
