Look, The campaign is possibly the most repetitive game made in the last 5 years. It sure looks like a nice game but content?

Show me someone who doesn't like "Destiny" and I'll show you someone who knows what they don't like.

Show me someone who says "Destiny" is a bad game and I'll show you an idiot.

One of my main issues with these types of games (including Borderlands) is that I don't play it nearly as much as my friend. We want to play together, but the game suffers greatly from this. If he joins my game, he's a level 23 and I'm 13... he owns the
AI. If I join his game, I have to cower in the corner and pray not to get killed by 2 bullets.

Doing strikes is equally annoying as the "bosses" at the end just take a ridiculous amount of shots to take down. I don't know... part of the game is enjoyable, but there are so many things that just annoy the crap out of me with this game.

Part of the beauty of the game is the grind/repetition/simplicity. In the same way that people will grind out 6-10 days of game time so they can have that level 10 prestige symbol in call of duty. (Applies more to call of duty 4 back when prestige actually
had a little 'prestige' to it)

I rented it and found it pretty boring. Maybe if I didn't play a million other shooters I might've been impressed. The wanna be MMO stuff is pretty lame too after you've experienced it a million times. I gave it a chance because Bungie usually keeps me interested
in their stories but this one was just meh, even with Dinklage narrating.

^^ Yea, I don't think that helps its cause. I've grown really stale of FPS games over the past couple years, so it really is going to take something special to pull my interest. Grinding levels by shooting a cave for 2 hours straight isn't the way to
    go about it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Just because a game/product isn't for you, or just because you don't enjoy it.... doesn't mean the product is bad.

Personally, I'm enjoying Destiny, but I do worry about the game itself having 'legs'. They want this to be the next big franchise. They want the game to last. But to do that, we need to have fresh content, new challenges, reasons to keep people
playing. Obviously, there are plenty who enjoy the Crucible PVP gameplay, so we'll always have those fans around (just like we do with many other FPS titles). Personally, I'd like to see more missions, more leveling possibilities, more armor/weapon unlocks.
And I'd love to play the story/missions with more than 3 people, but that's just me wanting to include more of my friends in the fun.

^I agree mate, I mean I love coop modes I can nearly play them unlimitedly and Destiny's strikes remind me a little of ME 3's MP which I guess is why I can't stop playing it.

Though it's getting to stage where I feel like I've experienced everything and if they don't get some new content in by the end of the year, I can see myself putting this down while I wait for new content and I don't really want that to happen.

It is inevitable though as the MC collection will make me have a break., but I'd like to keep playing Destiny up until its release.

  9. If you don't like a product then it means it is bad....for you.

People shouldn't have to add 'IMHO' or 'this is only my opinion' to every post for that to be blatantly obvious.

I love Alan Wake but a mate finds it a tedious load of old tripe. I'd be strangling him if he had to prefix everything with 'in my opinion.'

  10. ^I just had to say Vaynel, if you don't put imo in some of your posts, people do believe you're trying to pass it off as fact on these forums, so to cover ones *** and prevent unneeded conflict, I think it's best to put it, especially when trying to prove
some kind of point or are having a heated discussion.

  11. What is it they say 'Never argue with an idiot. They'll only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.'

A few people act like fools and take everything a person says as if they are trying to preach a new gospel, well those people should be ignored.

Those folk who can have a decent discussion shouldn't have to kowtow to the few that can't accept that others have differing opinions.

I can't think of 1 FPS from the 90's that was this short or had so few enemies. Graphically it would be mind blowing though!

You need to realize that gaming has changed a lot since the 90s. Today a game like Destiny may just be another FPS like many others. I haven't played it so I can't say for sure. People have opinions and I hear it's got a lot of hate for how plain it is.

Of course Destiny would be a masterpiece in the 90s. The graphics would have made people crazy and it would have cause a ton of interest, but it's much of the same that we've had for a while now. I played the beta and from what I played it plays just like
most FPS (Halo) so it's not something really new. But I can't say for sure as I haven't been able to play the main game so I could be wrong.

Personally I didn't like Destiny - I don't like online gaming and prefer to enjoy the story of a game. Everyone has their own preferences however, some people will love it, but I was disappointed by the lack of atmosphere and story which was broken up by
too many loading screens, selection of missions etc. Thinking about the 90s, Doom was amazing at the time and very different from most games before - I don't think Destiny is quite as much of a revolution as Doom was (either in terms of graphics or game play),
but it is still probably a good game if you like that kind of thing.

Can you imagine how you would have reacted if someone showed you an iphone 6 back in the 1740's?

People need to put a little perspective on their critiques of smart phones. This isn't a good phone? This isn't worth $500?

    Then what is?
