Destiny general discussion 360/Xbox one

This game is terrible played it yesterday with a couple of mates and few hours alone, One word can describe this game and that's BORING...

End game raids don't appeal to me either, Judging by what people are saying it takes a lot of invested time for minimal results sometimes nothing in return...

PVP is just your standard FPS multiplayer nothing new here...

Going to trade it in today, what a disappointment.

Forums are fairly quiet these days.

There are too many sections. Cut the number of boards and make the place look busy. Casual visitors will be more likely to stay then.

Do we really need General Game Discussion, Xbox General Discussion, Xbox Live General Discussion, and Xbox One General Discussion?

Cut it down to Xbox 360 General Discussion and Xbox One General Discussion.

Each to their own Don, I personally still love the game.

I can however see how it is deemed as boring though, it really needed more strikes in the game and perhaps some sort of horde mode rather than PVP which I still haven't touched and have no intention of doing so. They would have made a much better game making
it coop/sp only in my humble opinion.

Have to agree on the Raid's, I work odd shifts so trying to even consider joining a regular group to get the time to do a raid is non existent, from what I understand it has regular checkpoints you can save at, so why couldn't they have just made it so you
could join randoms at these checkpoints and play till the next at your own pace rather than trying to tie a group of people to all plan their lives around the game.

 

The Raid really would be difficult with randoms though, teamwork and communication are essential and players need to take assigned roles at certain stages. It really does need a fairly tight knit team.

 

PvP would be 100x better with a mode that had no supers or heavy weapons
and no Suros Regime, everyone uses that.

 

I find the game boring now but having said that I put over 100 hours into it so still had my money worth.

The biggest disappointment for me was the story, coming from Bungie I expected something that would have left me chomping at the bit for the next instalment but instead it left me ... "what was that about and was that it" ...

I still enjoyed my experience on it and will go back once the DLC lands, as a FPS co-op I thought it played well, not interested in PvP and after hearing some friends talk about the Raids I'm not sure I can be bothered to go back and try it. I would go back
now and do some Strikes and Daily Bounties if there was some variety to it but it's more or less the same day in and day out which I did find boring and a chore to play at the end.

A good game overall but for me personally it wasn't the epic some are saying it is.

 

@ Genchy, I'm not disputing the raid does need a close knit team who communicates but locking it to a party of 6 without matchmaking had effectively locked out that element of the game to people who cannot dedicate set hours the same as everyone else. If
I wanted to take my chance with randoms or 2 friends and the rest randoms why not?

 

I hear you Mark and don't disagree with that, but it really would be a frustrating experience that would probably hurt the game more than anything as the backlash over failed attempts would kick in. It's been designed to be pretty nearly impossible unless
everyone works together, one weak link and it would be fail after fail and no one would enjoy it. I managed it by joining the forum clan and met some great new friends in the process. It's not an impossible thing to organise and can be done over the course
of a week.

But I guess the option wouldn't hurt and at least you could have a stab at it.

 

Matchmaking could also have a positive effect , a bunch of randoms could easily gel and make future plans to continue/re-run at a later date . I've often just lurked about the tower on the off chance I get a raid invite , never happened yet though lol .

 

Yep that's my point mate, I don't think it would hurt the game, yes you will get idiots trolling it, as you do with any game, but really is that not the gamers choice? We paid for the same game, let us have the same content, however we choose to do it.

Yes I would love to join up with a group but my life/work simply would not allow it, I can have a week of mixed early,late, long/short days or night shifts, then the next week it would be totally different so couldn't even plan say a regular Monday night
game with the lads. Then of course the missus/kids have their say on my time too

Pmsl , I've had to leg it back to orbit a few times to escape Tower Security , the dark recesses of the hangar are my favourite haunts ;-)

 

I think the raid could be done with randoms as long as everyone has done it before. (saying that still havnt beaten the last boss)
