Destiny Expansion "The Taken King" Launching In September For $40?

i'll be passing as well, i got through Dark Below, or whatever it's called, to try and give House of Wolves a fair chance, made it as far as when they give you the rocket launcher or whatever (i didn't pick it up), and then i quit, it's the Dark Below again,
same locations, swap sword with other weapon, still don't have a reason to care about what's going on.

and iBakez is correct about Bungie saying you can go anywhere, i was a little miffed that wasn't the case, and then the whole "be legend", "your gear will tell your story".... just like everyone else farming the raids so they can all have the same gear

[Destiny: The taken king - Legendary Edition] Cannot download EXPANSION I

I've successfully downloaded Legendary Edition for Destiny. Then I'm launching it and adding all downloads.

My XBOX360 downloaded successfully the next content:

The Taken King

Destiny

Destiny Expansion Pass

Expansion II

And then XBOX360 tries to download Expansion I, shows 1%complete for some seconds, then 100% and then shows an error "Can't download Expansion I"

After this I can't play Destiny and any other Legendary Edition content.

How can I fix this problem?

doesnt destiny the taken king come with: destiny, expansion 1 and 2 and the taken king for 60$?

What, so 9 months after the game released only about 6 million people are playing?

Hey Az, I am not sure what you are implying. But to defend Destiny like it has no flaws what so ever is a bit naive. Destiny has flaws. Such as limited story and lore in game. Sending users to an outside source is a mistake that could have been (in my
opinion) easily addressed.

And i did not imply that Destiny is a bad game (you used a different word). I said it is a solid game, but feels hollow. A good example would be a stunning man or woman, with nothing between the ears. You may want to spend the night with the person. But
you wouldn't want to spend the rest of your time with them. And i believe about 84% of the registered users either agree with me, or worse.

As I said, i hope this DLC adds substance. I look forward to what news Bungie has for us regarding Destiny at E3.

 

There's tons of stuff I could criticise "Destiny" for but being a "one night stand" certainly isn't one of them.

It's people who buy into daft stuff they read on the internet, don't own the game, and just slope about the Forums moaning about that's actually a 2nd hand complaint.

People who played the whole game yapping to their mates on party chat and then come here to complain they don't remember much story.

Yet nobody seems to question the likelyness of how we managed to overpower and outmatch a laser wielding, space travelling alien race with 4 oppossable thumbs?!?!

 

I still enjoy crucible from time to time, but other than that the game is pretty lacking. Not getting any crappy dlc either.

 

I have to say I've put a ton of hours into this game and I enjoy it (still do). I love the look, the feel, combat is top notch and I have a blast with my buddies BUT... It has it missteps and "lack of story" is definitely one. I've played through the story
numerous times and it's not much there. I think HoW was an improvement over TDB but just a tad.

Best way to get a story requires you to leave the game and read Grimore Cards lol.

As for The Taken King, I will be getting it because like I said the game has its missteps but I enjoy it and have a lot of time invested so my Guardians will continue on.

 

Am I the only person who thinks Bungie is taking this DLC crap way too far, even more than Turtle Rock did with Evolve?

Looks like I will never buy Destiny then, screw Bungie, Halo FTW!

Personally I think the house of wolves expansion was a step in the right direction (the dark below just sucked in regards to money per content), but I will be waiting to see more then full details on this before even considering purchasing it, especially
if it has the $40 price.

 

^^ Agreed. HoW is pretty good IMO, definitely better than TDB. So far there's just speculation and rumor for The Taken King so it's best to relax and at least wait until E3 rolls around to see what's going on. For some reason I think if the $40 price tag
holds true the content will justify it. Hey I could be wrong but we shall see soon enough.

As for Evolve, I still think it's debatable but that's another topic

 

I promised myself that I would play what I already payed for and then be done with the game. So that's what I'll probably do.

Couldn't agree with this more. Trouble is with a lot of people ( and still not sure why people get all serious over choices/preference in games ) they just can't accept others will have a difference of opinion. I think for a few it's a case of justifying
to themselves they have made the right choice or it's cool to be in with the crowd.

Anyway, not something I'll be buying, Destiny is a distance memory for me personally but I'm sure loads will enjoy this new content.

 

HoW has freshened up the gameplay adding in things we shouldve had fromthe start... but one thing that does annoy me is playing locations backwards and classing as new content.. its like they asked turn 10 for help in developing the level design :/

 

Destiny has taken one award though from COD and that is worst fan base ever i go on there forums and all people are doing is moaning and when you make a post you just get insulted.
