    Destiny - Does DLC transfer from Xbox One to Xbox 360?


    I own Destiny and both Dark Below and House of Wolves for the Xbox One (I got the expansion pass shortly before Dark Below dropped). Several of my friends only have the 360 so I decided to pick up Destiny for that console as well. Does the DLC I purchased
    for the Xbox One carry over to the 360 or must it be repurchased?

    I was going to buy the destiny dlc for xbox 360 but I'm getting an xbox one Christmas if I buy destiny for my 360 version will it transfer over the the xbox one destiny version

    I'm sorry to say you'll need to buy the DLC again as 360 and One DLC content is different. Recently back ward compatibility was announced for some games but DLC is not backwardly compatible yet. Some individual game developers offer some free upgrades
    from one platform to the other but you would need to contact Bungie to see if they have any such offer.

    Xbox 360 game expansion will not transfer to Xbox One

    Hello SharpShooter7AR,

    Destiny: The Taken King DLC does not transfer over from Xbox 360 to Xbox One like Expansion 1 (Dark Below) and Expansion 2 (House of Wolves). It was noted prior to release that The Taken King DLC would need to be purchased on both platforms separately if
    you wished to play on 360 and One.

    If i buy the DLC for destiny on the Xbox 360 would i be able to transfer or purchase for free to the Xbox One...

    By the way i dont know if this makes a differance or not but i have Destiny on disk not digitaly

    As for my research, here are the following info.

    DLC transferring between Xbox 360 and Xbox One depends on whether or not you purchased the DLC with a Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass.

    If you have a Season Pass:

    DLC purchased on Xbox 360 will transfer to Xbox One.

    DLC purchased on Xbox One will not transfer to Xbox 360.

    If you do not have a Season Pass:

    DLC purchased on Xbox 360 will not transfer to Xbox One.

    DLC purchased on Xbox One will not transfer to Xbox 360.
